Steve Chapman asserts that conservatives applied a different standard to the loutish behavior of Arnold Schwarzenegger than they did to Bill Clinton. They should. The situations are different:

- Schwarzenegger isn't the president of the U.S.

- Schwarzenegger didn't lie under oath.

- Schwarzenegger hasn't been fined $90,000 for obstructing justice.

- Schwarzenegger has not paid $850,000 to settle a sexual harassment lawsuit.

He didn't subborn perjury.

He didn't enlist a smear campaign to demonize his (truthful) accusers.

He didn't use his office to solicit women.

He didn't use his office to punish women who declined him.

He didn't use his power as an employer to put women who accepted on the government payroll.

He didn't use his office to obstruct an investigation into his actions.

He didn't engage in racketeering to coordinate legal defense.

He didn't hire PIs to intimidate witnesses.

He didn't solicit for false affidavits.

...and much, much more.

I'm sure everytime one of these comparisons come up, Hillary reminds Bubba of how stupid he was...and the "stained" dress. His actions in themselves didn't even phase her.
