"Most of the "unemployed" and "laid off" workers I've seen in the news did not lose the type of jobs that are typically taken by these immigrant workers."Well, the mainstream liberal media sure wouldn't lie, now would they? Rest assured, illegal scumbags are taking skilled jobs...as I can personally attest to.
I've told this story so many times that many FReepers are doubtlessly getting sick of it, but I was fired from a $23/hr. telecom cabling job in suburban DC, while the company hired more and more illegal scumbag aliens for $8-10/hour. One of these scumbags was a roommate of mine in company housing, and often bragged about how he never paid taxes, drove without insurance, paid $400 for his forged documents to get the job, etc. Furthermore, ask the (likely) thousands of roofers, framers, bricklayers, and other skilled folks in the construction field who have lost their jobs to illegal scumbag aliens if their former jobs were "beneath their dignity".
Furthermore, the whole argument that "they do jobs Americans wouldn't take" is specious to begin with. If the criminals weren't here, the wages for those "undignified" jobs would have to rise to their true value level, and Americans would take them. The laws of supply and demand apply to labor as well, but I guess now that the American economy has morphed into the "global" economy, the rules of capitalism no longer apply.

One of these scumbags was a roommate of mine in company housing So you were living with a criminal and living off of his ill-gotten gain (he shared the rent right?), and only after you were fired did you speak out. Why did you not call immigration (for his being here illegally), the IRS (for not paying taxes), and the state DOT (for not paying auto-liability insurance) while he was living with you?

You are right. Illegal aliens are taking every kind of job away from able-bodied, motivated Americans. They are a threat to the very future of almost every working American because they take the work directly away from Americans and artificially depress the price of all American labor by their massive, illegal presence. They are a scourge upon this land. They are disrespectful of our laws, language, sovereignty, citizenship and culture and they ought to be forcibly expelled from our country IMMEDIATELY!
I'm sick to death of this talk about how Americans won't work. There are millions of Americans who will work but who can't find a decent job because this country is being flooded with illegal aliens.

Re :
Your post #28 :
Many of these illegal aliens also have a "wife" and 2-6 kids
Husband and sometimes both work
One or both off the books
Subsidized or Welfare paid Housing
Free medical & dental
Free hospitalization including births
Free prescription drugs
Monthly welfare cash
Food stamps
WIC food program (NY - w/kids)
Etc.
Husbands and wives have CT (etc) Driver's licenses and late model cars/SUVs
Often no auto insurance; in NC the DMV sends a letter demanding your license plates if you have a NC registered vehicle but no insurance per the NC DMV computer
Not in CT, NY, NJ, etc
So a phony set of IDs gets them a state Driver's license, they have state and/or cities paying for all the goodies and get paid 100% cash untaxed under the table
Employer pays for no Unemployment Insurance, Worker's Compensation Insurance, no Social Security, no Medicare deductions, no bookeeping, no Fed Income Tax deductions, no State Income Tax deductions, no City (NYC) Income Tax deductions.
Illegal aliens have none of these payroll deductions either; straight 100% untaxed cash
They only pay state and city sales taxes; no big thing!
IN CT, as in your example, a contractor can hire 4-5-6 illegal aliens for the cost of 2 honest taxpaying US citizens or legal Visa or Green Card foreign nationals.
So much for all those here on FR or elsewhere claiming they do work Americans cannot or will not do.
Figure out what and illegal alien
and his wife with 2-6 kids gross=net in yearly income working under the table (1 or both) and collecting all these free goodies paid for by the US taxpayers and out of work honest Americans!
$35,000-$65,000 easy, untaxed
Oh -
I forgot free legal help from the thousands of illegal alien groups and Legal Aid firms that actually advertise they specialize in "undocumented workers"
Firms paid often by government grants
I would imagine there ate a number here on FR who hire illegal aliens as workers but will not admit it here.
Sean Hannity had a painting/home improvement company years back and hired illegal aliens paid in cash off the books; he has admitted that live on his WABC 770am NYC based nationally syndicated radio talk show and attempted to rationiaize his illegal scams.
Never let it be said I will not go after a right winger when they break the law.
I refuse to join the lefties and criminals "under cover" as a Republican and/or Conservative and/or a Libertarian

The laws of supply and demand apply to labor as well....Excellent Point!!!! You absolutely NEVER hear this point on any immigration debate. It's just accepted as a given fact that illegals do the jobs that NO American would do. Most of these jobs have always been around and before 1965 they were being done by Americans. What has changed is that these jobs paid a wage you could support yourself (modestly) at one time. Not true today.
but I guess now that the American economy has morphed into the "global" economy, the rules of capitalism no longer apply
Quite the opposite, the law of supply & demand is to economics what the laws of motion are to physics, it can't be repealed. Capatilism always seeks to minimize costs, it's up to the government to see that this is done in a way that doesn't destroy society.
