To relegate lesbians and gays to second-class Christians would be anathema to the Gospels which preach equality ... of treatment for all. "

"equality of treatment" does not mean "inclusion" of unrepentant sinners. The "reverand" ought to know this.

Apples and Oranges. My how the homo lobby loves to play "Apple and Oranges. . .

i.e. Jesus himself said to treat "slaves" well. In this, he did not advocate - nor deny the right or wrong of slavery, nor the "lesser" status of slaves.

AMEN bump.

oh not just that - he wants to be able to hold onto all the perks, AND keep his job...besides Mrs. archdruid just got everything the way she wanted it after the big move down from Wales last winter and there's no way they're moving again before the end of the year!:-)

Lesbian and Gay Christian Movement

Students!! Please pay attention! Here we have an excellent example of the rare double oxymoron.

Not only is Lesbian oxymoronic with Christan, but Gay is also oxymoronic with Christian. Observe this well. You don't see doubly oxymoronic expressions very often. Class dismissed!

Exacxtly which of the Gospels does the Reverend Mr.Kirker believe supports his notion that unrepentent sinners are to play an equal role in the Church?

Thanks for posting this.

If this is true and is carried throughout the meeting: "Rowan Williams has called the 38 primates leading the world's 70 million Anglicans to Lambeth Palace for an emergency summit on the ordination of gay clergy. He is prepared to reiterate the church's official view reached five years ago that homosexuality is "incompatible with scripture".

Maybe, we can have some recalls of the Perverted Bishops!

Primates? I thought Primates were the biological order in which chimpanzees and gorillas are assigned?

Just where in the Bible is this statement? Maybe the good rev can enlighten us, 'cause I don't remember it.

OK, if the Archbishop of Canterbury does "take the hardline", what will happen to the gay and lesbian priests already ordained? Will they have to leave their parishes?

Relax, I take the appointment of a gay bishop in the Episcopal Church to be a serious issue. I know the Bible has criteria for the office of Bishop in I Timothy 3:2-7 and being a homosexual surely disqualifies a person for such an office.
