Notice how the Lib's strategy is "we got Limbaugh, and Hannity's next", rather than "We beat him with our reasoning and the powerful logic of our arguments."

OK, so Uncle Joe did starve 100,000 people to death, but he was a good dancer. Well really about 100 times that many, but as Uncle Joe said, "A single death is a tragedy, a million deaths are a statistic".

Another way to fight their "hypocrite" argument is to really think about how Rush feels about himself about now. Come on. I'd bet big money that he feels as negatively about himself having gotten messed up like this as he did about Kurt Cobain or anyone else. I am not saying that he SHOULD feel so badly about himself for getting hooked on painkillers. I am just saying that I bet he DOES feel that badly. Therefore, he is not a hypocrite. He would lump himself in with other addicts for whom he hasn't much sympathy.

Quinn is right on and this one, and just terrific on a whole lot of things. I get to listen to him every day here in Pittsburgh, but Freepers everywhere can partake via his website, by listening online.

I agree about the hypocrite argument, but there is a large proportion of substance abusers (I hate that term, but use it to include alcoholics) who hate themselves for it. I know that won't be believed by many on here, but it is heartbreaking to watch people try to recapture their lives from the horrible addictions. And every failure adds to the self-revulsion, no matter how they started, recreationally or not.

Oops, shouldn't have said "but there is a large proportion". Should have said "and there is a large proportion". Sorry. We agree.
