Nevermind that floating-dancing-curving BS - just try and smoke 'em, Timmy. Yeah, that makes sense. Sheesh.
Anyway, I'm perfectly happy to see the Sox stomp on the hated Yankees (feh! *spit*!), preferably in seven games. That way, after the Cubbies close out the fish tomorrow, Chicago will be tanned, rested, and ready to go in the series, where the Sox will magically discover some new heartbreaking way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, and deliver unto the Cubbies their first championship since 1908. And there will be no joy in Beantown ;)

Wrigley Field was built in 1914.

Shut up - reality has no place on this forum!

It just HAS to happen. And I looked when He broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became as like blood; and the stars of the sky fell to the earth, as a fig tree casts its unripe figs when shaken by a great wind, and the young bears did combat with the warriors in socks as red as blood.

I have no idea. I have to go to bed, or I would google it.
Or someone might want to try BaseballLibrary.com. Let me know tomorrow. See you then.

Bookmark this - as a Yankee fan, I have a bad feeling about this, I made the same prediction before the 2001 WS.

Was Wrigley even around then? Yep, built in 1914 - the only park in the majors that's older is, of course, Fenway.

A beautiful sight, Linda.

well make your self a red sox fan and all those bad feelings will go away

No doubt, and I was all over his case earlier in the day about it. When Torre thinks too much he gets himself into trouble. One of the Fox guys said Wells pulled his groin during the bullpen fracas in Game 3. That could just be a cover story, though. Hard to see how a guy could come back from a pulled groin after just one day.

Cover story for sure.

Anyway, I'm perfectly happy to see the Sox stomp on the hated Yankees (feh! *spit*!), preferably in seven games. You and me both! Steinbrenner will blow a major gasket.
Besides a Cubs-Sox series is too delicious to contemplate. I don't even care who wins, its gonna be HIlarious. There will be massive work stoppages in both cities! Every pitch will be life and death!

A Boston media guy interviewed Wells today, and he said he was in perfect health -- no injury. He wasn't happy about being pulled from the rotation tonight.
Now I am really going to bed.
