OXFORD, England — Conservative Episcopalians say the majority of the world's Anglican archbishops will support their efforts this week to punish the Episcopal Church for elevating a practicing homosexual to the post of bishop.

Starting tomorrow, the world's Anglican primates, or leaders of the various national churches, will be at Lambeth Palace in London for a showdown meeting over the Aug. 5 ratification of Canon V. Gene Robinson, a homosexual, as Episcopal bishop of New Hampshire.

A group of "right-wing neo-fascist American capitalists ... are funding this," he says. They "are trying to block an open and democratic process concerning the nomination of Gene Robinson."
--Richard Kirker, general secretary for the London-based Gay and Lesbian Christian Movement

When was this an issue about capitalism? Kirker's agenda is showing.

He's also quite hypocritical since what he wants is to stop an open democratic vote from overriding leftist arrogance.

[The] "American church got quite a bloody nose at Lambeth, but then they went back to the States and paid no attention to [the vote] at all,"

This is quite accurate. Indeed, one of the homosexual lobby's main talking points is that Lambeth resolutions are "not binding" on the constituent provinces of the Anglican Communion.

Mr. Bradshaw says. "That seemed very arrogant to a lot of us."

It is arrogant. And it's also apostasy. But why should we expect any less?

At least I won't be going to same place that Kirker does when I die.

Just as well. Eternity is a long time to worry about not dropping the soap. :-)

re: "right-wing neo-fascist American capitalists..."

LOL!

Um...I think they mean Republicans. There is a sort of Monty Python-like slang that they are fond of. No mention of John Wayne, Cowboys, or gun owners though puts it in the "tame" category.

oh man and did you notice that rather than Holy Scripture and tradition all kirker and company care about is something they refer to as 'democratic process'... talk about heaping condemnation on himself! whoa!

LOL! kirker's whole spiel translates as "flee! flee! the Christians are coming! the Christians are coming!"

LOL!

having had to confront these sorts before (though not kirker personally - but his American counterparts) I've gotten a lot of milage from waiting until they accuse me of being a "rightwing, fundamentalist Charismatic" and then correcting them by saying "no you mean a heavily armed rightwing fundamentalist Charismatic!" Sometimes it takes a second or two for that to sink in, but once it does, the heretics'facial reactions can be priceless! :-)

Oh! That's a scream! I'm going to try that one.

Funny thing is, it's true. Like one of the 5th Circuit judges on the Texas gun case said, he and one of his fellow judges probably had more firearms than most South American countries . . .

But trying to stop the Nigerian archbishop from coming is okay? By giving them enough rope, it's plain to see they are certainly doing the job...

As time goes by, the vile anti-social behavior of Queers steadily gets worse and worse . . . as this current FReeper article demonstrates!!! Therefore, allow me to repeat my own personal rant one more time:

Oak Hay, so I'm very disturbed and continually puzzled about how a small bunch of contrary to nature freaks can destroy our entire civilization. . . BUT DAMMIT, THEY'RE DOING IT !!!

These unsavory and unclean sub-human creatures delight in ramming their urine exhaust pipes into the rectal relief tubes of young boys (and of each other) !!! They brag and crow loudly about their filthy behavior !!! They demand access to our young and innocent children... so they can commit sodomy and oral sex acts upon them!!! Then they scream and holler...

"Homophobe"

... when we seek to save our children from their filthy and immoral activities!!! WHY IS THIS ALLOWED TO CONTINUE IN THIS ONCE-FREE REPUBLIC ??? DO WE NOT HAVE THE RIGHT AND MORAL DUTY TO PROTECT OUR CHILDREN FROM SLIME LIKE THIS ???

.

That's what struck me also; No mention of Scripture. Probably too much tap dancing to get around the Word, you know the arguments: The Bible is a living document (a la the Constitution) which must change with the times, etc. What a Load of Barbra Streisand.

This attitude springs from the socialist belief that one's political views should dominate and influence one's religious views. The reason sociocrats fear the "religious right" so much is that it rejects this perverted way of thinking, and does so effectively.

Yes, folks, it's true... A VAST conspiracy of hypoglycemic, gun-toting, wife-beating white supremacist mountain men in the hills of Idaho are plotting to keep sodomy out of the Church of England. The Brooks Brothers suits are just a clever disguise. [irony]

yes, and never mind they're being led by African and Asian clergy most of whom have more than one earned doctorate!

Which brings up another fun thing to do when confronting the heretics - point out the inherent racism of their remarks....this can provide hours of entertainment!
