Your link is misleading. It goes to a Foxnews story, but "AP" is not mentioned in the story nor is there any other indication this is an AP story.

A bicyclist died last night after being struck by a sport utility vehicle driven by Heather French Henry, wife of Lt. Gov. Steve Henry, at Lexington Road and Grinstead Drive, police said.
The name of the 43-year-old woman was not released. She had been taken to University Hospital.
Henry's vehicle a Lincoln Navigator was westbound on Lexington and had just turned left onto Grinstead, striking the cyclist in the right-hand lane just south of the crosswalk on Grinstead, said Alicia Smiley, a Louisville Metro Police spokeswoman. The impact carried the cyclist a bit farther down the road; Smiley did not know the distance.
"At this time it appears to be an accident. There's no indication of alcohol or drugs," Smiley said. She said Henry had had a green light. No charges have been filed, but the investigation is continuing, she added.
Neither Henry, nor her 3-month-old daughter, Taylor, who was in the back seat, was injured.
Henry told police that the sun was in her eyes and that she did not see the cyclist, Smiley said. Witnesses said the sun was blinding for motorists westbound on Lexington when the accident occurred at 6:20 p.m. Smiley did not know how fast Henry was driving.
Earlier in the evening, Smiley had said it would have been impossible for Henry to see the cyclist until virtually the last moment.
Peter Brand, a companion of the cyclist who had been riding with her, said she was a native of Germany who had been living in Louisville for the past several months. Brand said the two had met in Florida and had struck up a relationship.
The cyclist and Brand had been riding for a couple of hours and were returning to his car, which was parked nearby in Cherokee Park, when the crash took place.
After the crash, the front tire and seat were ripped off the bike. The Lincoln's grille was damaged in several places, and the vehicle's left rear tire was punctured.
Heather Henry at first seemed calm, but by the time her husband arrived, she was crying. She said several times: "I didn't see her. I just didn't see her."
Steve Henry, in an interview with The Associated Press before the cyclist's death was announced, said: "We're very concerned about the lady. We've been in touch with the physicians at the hospital. That's where our primary thoughts are. Heather is extremely concerned about the lady and obviously very upset."
The lieutenant governor, in an interview with a Courier-Journal reporter at the scene, said his wife called him immediately after the crash and that he probably arrived at the scene in less than a minute. The couple live nearby in the Cherokee Triangle neighborhood.
Asked how his wife was, Henry said: "It's hard on anybody when you hit a person. It's very tough on people."
Heather Henry is a former Miss America and former co-host of WDRB-TV's "Fox in the Morning" show.
Steve Henry said his wife had been out that afternoon with her family and had been at Mall St. Matthews. She had designed a Christmas ornament for breast-cancer awareness and had been signing the ornaments at a store.

For a minute there, I thought that maybe they were going a bit too far in trying get ratings for the broadcast of the talent competition!

I stand corrected. "Associated Press" appeared above the story when I clicked on the link again, but did not the first time I checked it.

hehe,... maybe they put it there right after you left the site. No matter. The other thread / article is much more informative.

maybe they put it there right after you left the site. I'm just cranky, not paranoid ;)
(But not cranky enough to fail to admit it when I screw up. And I screwed up - I am sorry).

NEW TOPIC- So why are you cranky? (rant ON)
Its a long story. To sum up, I've lost a good deal of the already sparse hair on my head in the last few weeks due to driver problems I'm having with a video rendering program (Pinnacle Studio V8) I'm trying to use. I'm posting on FR now because that program crashed yet again this morning, costing me 3 hours of rendering work I'd already done. This happens after I downloaded 13 meg worth of hot fresh updated drivers and installed them yesterday.
I'm also pondering how my monitor and computer would work if I were to shotput them out into the yard then set upon them with an 8-pound sledge and a fire axe, because those might very well be my next actions.
Its a cloudy yucky day as well here, so a nice cup of coffee on the back porch is out too.
(rant OFF)
Other than that, things are just ducky here.

then set upon them with an 8-pound sledge and a fire axe,Since it is a driver problem that seems to be at the heart of your mood problem, would not a "Big Bertha" be the more appropriate implement? ;-)
