The extra credit sources say it all!
He would fit right in.....
Those right wing cranks at LGF also has a bit of commentary and a link to the tape:

The rant is over the top.
Yessiree. About the only thing he left out of this letter to students and parents was something like this: "This course is designed to turn students in creative, and self-actualizing citizens of the world," or some such claptrap.
There is no doubt that this teacher is a maggot. Another bloodsucker on the public payroll.
One of the students recorded it on his mp3 player and took the audio home to play for his father.
It is up to every parent to right the wrongs our kids pick up at school.
I made a point of asking my son about his teachers and what he was hearing in class.
Only a few times did I need to reeducate him.
When he reached 18, he registered as a Republican and I now have no worries.
I first registered as an independent and actually voted for Carter in 1976.
My son is smarter than me.......
He had a good teacher........at home.
"Disregard for these rules will not be tolerated"
"Remain open-minded", which means "pass no judgements, whether moral, personal, or ideological."
Im glad the son knew what to do. Im firing off an email now..
They'll contact you Jay.
Just what do any of these have to do with GEOGRAPHY? .........This guy was running a LIBERAL THOUGHT RE-TRAINING CAMP!!!!!!..........HE IS A DISGRACE!.....
Nice to know the LIHOP and MIHOP conspiracy sources like guerrilla news are extra credit. Maybe the kids could just read the DUmmie FUnnies instead lol
Here is another example of why NOT to send your kids to the public schools. What this guy needs is a quick trip behind the wood shed and a good A$$ whipping. Amen. Mom can wash his mouth out with the Ivory also. Amen and Amen.
Oh I'll add my kids' "world geography" classes are just social studies (a.k.a. socialist indoctrination 101) with more maps, like this class.
I find those with the "Question Authority" bumper stickers particularly annoying.
I agree with the sentiment, but sometimes the answer to the question is that the Authority is legitimate and should be obeyed. Those with the sticker never seem to recognize this reality.
Sounds like a poli sci class to me.
I bet the teacher is one of those guys who think empirical
science is best interpreted in a framework, rather than
letting the framework and the empirical data "battle it out"
for epistomological "bragging" rights.
I think there are plenty of topics of geography that are
non political in nature, and can fill all of the hours
that the class is allotted.
Bottom line: teacher needs a new job.
The logical response to that bumper sticker is
"Sez Who?"
geography
n : study of the earth's surface; includes people's responses to topography and climate and soil and vegetation
They could at least call the class "How to be a raving lunatic with tenure and using the classroom as a way to indoctrinate the youth of America" so kids could know what they are getting in to.
Ought to have a "Guess His DU Screen Name" contest.
