One more thing...it's time for our network to get stronger. I'm a little tapped after giving everything I could financially to Katherine Harris and Jeb, but as we help you guys in Louisiana with the liberal termite removal, please remember us in two years when we need to get rid of that lying weasal Graham.

I am SICK of the yapping far-left socialist women sitting in our Congress.

I live in Montana now but used to live in Louisiana. I gave everything I could to defeat Baucus but the time wasn't right. I'll get a second mortgage if it would help oust "Brown Roots Mary."

She is at the most weakened point she'll ever be in. No money available from the DNC, no negative soft money ads effective today, no network of support from the Demorat Senate leadership (who is unknown still if Daschole will be there or not) and the entire RNC, FReeper nation and conservative political network getting ready to come down on her head. I wouldn't want to be her. It's going to be brutal.

XS, I know that there is probably no one who has actually read or understands the entire CFR bill, but in your opinion, will our contributions to Suzanne be able to be used for her run-off campaign and, more importantly, not create some legal technicality that could harm her?

Good morning, by the way.

I’m located in Louisiana and winning this seat is the last bit of unfinished business for the Republican.

I can’t wait to vote!

"John Breaux and a couple others need to make the jump. The conservative Dims primarily in the South need to shed the Dim label once and for all and come home to the GOP."

Yep...the RAT Party Pelosi and the HildaBeast got planned fer the next few years is gonna do our work fer us, and they'll be bleeding ModeRATS at all levels of the RAT hierarchy. My bet is that there is gonna be a split between those who believe Bill Clinton should be held responsible fer his crimes and those who believe Slick Willie should have sovereign immunity from all his felonies, thereby giving folks like Breaux and Miller an excuse to bolt!!

Gonna be a fun coupla years, IMHO...MUD

Has anyone heard whether GWB will be actively campaigning for Terrell?

I believe that he and the Republican governor, Mike Foster, need to blaze through the state, where they are both immensely popular, and bash Landrieu as a tax-and-spend liberal who has taken huge sums from out of state liberal organizations.

"Largent ran a horrible campaign..."

Well Mom, of course I would accept your keen sense of politics & right-on-the-money take on that, anyday.
Still, to some of us?
This Largent fella seemed pretty like a good guy; one, we wished we'd had reping us where we live, as a matter of fact.
Funny, isn't it?
How one part of the country will reject a candidate, that another part of the nation would feel blessed having.

"...not to mention the cockfighting issue turned out every voter in Little Dixie!"

No comment. ;^)

"Not to mention the Indy got over 100,000 votes which no one predicted!"

You really meant to say, the Libertarians, didn'tcha??
Just being your diplomatic & polite self, huh?
Ahhh yes, our good friends of the, "Issue-wise, big-picture foolish," party.

...the ghost of Perot haunts us, once again.

Suzie Terrell was an elector for Bush in the 2000 race. He'll take care of her.

Cheney will be deployed in Louisiana too. And others of large prestige. Maybe we'll get lucky and Clinton and Gore will insist on going into LA.... guaranteed win for Terrell.

"I know you will. Blam took care of Alabama, in a month we'll all be thanking you - Pelicans Up!"

My senators were a 'slam-dunk' this time but, the Democrat governor (Siegelman) is contesting. 4CJ, congratulations on the Georgia housekeeping job done by you all, it's wonderful.

Patriot1 & newslady, let me know if I can help in any way to pry Mary "brown-roots" loose. We've had some teriffic victories so far, let's build on that.

As much as I want them to jump, I think there are several good reasons they won't:

1) Breaux comes from a conservative state where he is ENSURED re-election as a Democrat. He does not have that guarantee from the Republicans. Even if the national party "discourages" someone else from running, look at CA with Riordan . . . .

2) Miller is somewhat older. I don't know that he wants to make such a jump so late in his political career---he might perceive it as tarnishing his solid "independent" credentials.

In both cases, the "independent" label helps get them elected. I don't know that they could draw the same % of DEM votes that they now get from GOP/Indies if they switched to the GOP.

And, in both cases, to persuade them to jump would require MUCHO "bennies"---chairmanships and other appointments. But that, in turn, would require demoting or leapfrogging loyal Republicans who have paid their dues. Do you really want to do that? Is that fair?

Finally, the ONLY reason their participation AS Republicans is important is for operating control of the Senate in a caucus to organize: but as long as our organization is safe, their votes are pretty secure on most issues. They would vote for ANWAR, the Iraq resolution, most tax cuts, and most Bush judges. I think either or both would vote against a Dem filibuster on a Supreme Court.

Simply put, the cost of getting them to switch---in terms of alienation and hostility from "dispossessed" Republicans who would lose power and influence---would not be worth the gain.

"...the cost of getting them to switch---in terms of alienation and hostility from "dispossessed" Republicans who would lose power and influence---would not be worth the gain."

Who ever said anything about having to "woo" them, my FRiend?! I expect they will be beggin' to join on as they suffer thru The Historic DemonRAT Implosion!! Seriously, I'm not talking about needing Breaux and Miller as much as I am talking about Dem needing US!! And the continued starboard momentum--that their abandoning of the USS RATShipMcAwful will facilitate--will only strengthen the American Sheeple's Resolve in defeating the Anti-AmericanScumbags on the FarLeft!!

Depending on how fast the Right presses the Re-ImpeachmentIssue**, I suspect Miller will jump in, say, May of next year and Breaux'll make the switch in July!!

FReegards...MUD

BTW...SITYS, **the RE-ImpeachmentIssue will commence in earnest when FReepers complete the Impeachment Paperwork On-Forum, then read the ChargesAgainstSlickWillie on the Steps of the U.S. Capitol, with LIVE coverage on C-SPAN, and JIP'd by the EIB!! This is commonly referred to as Petitioning Yer Reps!! Reckon no House member worth his salt will be able to Ignore THAT!! Then, once RE-Impeachment is completed, all we need to do is find 14-15 DemonRATS to CONVICT!! The RATS that fail to Vote Right will be FReeped into political oblivion in November of 2004!!

I've got a feeling that President Bush, and Laura, will be spending a LOT of time in La. over the next 30 days. We'll probably see a LOT of high profile repubs taken a sudden and high profile interest in La.

It is a never ending battle with the rats, the watermelon enviral jihadists and the pro Islamofascists in America.

They work 24/7/365 to weaken and eventually destroy America.

Our job is to counter them and not blame the Republican Party for not countering.

God helps those who help themselves.

Thanks for your hard work this past election and count me in for the next two year battle which started at 12:01 am 6 November, 2002!

I will be contributing to Suzanne Terrell this week via my credit card.
