At least one of those polls showing Napolitano far ahead was a Rocky Mountain poll. Heard Jeff Flake say that those polls underrepresent conservatives and are frequently wrong. Flake is a Republican, so I expect him to defend Salmon, but I had heard that about that poll before.

The concern I have is that many of the pwople voting for Napo will be voting because she's a woman. Do they actually listen to her (I know. with the monotone voice many probably tune her out after 30 seconds). But that's it. She doesn't say anything. It's apparent she probably has a staff reading her numbers. I don't want someone who goes by statistics. Numbers can be reworked and just aren't accurate. I want someone who will have some guts to take chances and to know the people they are representing. Maybe I should rewrite that and email it to the Republic. Of course I have another letter I would like to write to the Republic.

Tom Liddy spoke at our central committee meeting last night, he has been tracking polls, and comparing them to election results for several years, he said the polls usually favor Democrats, he believes that Matt, and Napolitano are even now, but he said he is seeing a turn in Napolitano's direction. He says we can win but it is going to take a lot of work by everyone.

That's the poll that had Basha beating Symington n '94.

There's going to be a women's rally for Matt at the Capitol tomorrow morning at 9:30 AM and then in Tucson at the Doubletree at 1:30 pm Cyndi McCain and Betsey Bayless will head it up.

There will also be a rally at the University Marriott in Tucson at 5:30 pm before the final debate.
