Congressman Rob Simmons has an 18-point lead over Democratic challenger Joe Courtney in Connecticut's 2nd Congressional District race, according to a poll released by the University of Connecticut Tuesday. With 41 days left until Election Day, 41 percent of registered voters say they will vote for Simmons, while 23 percent plan to vote for Courtney. Thirty-three percent of registered voters remain undecided.

These results are certainly unexpected. With the CT-5 race tightening into the single digits, I would have expected something similiar in CT-2.
Well, he was within the margin of error. Wasn't he?
