Well, I'm disappointed Ganske can't get any closer to Harkin, but the governor numbers are still good. They're about the same as the two previous polls, when considering MOE, and they still show the incumbent under 50%.

Ever the optimist Coop. The problem with these numbers is the RNC will not be inclined to help at this date. I really want to see Dungheap go, too....

Optimist? I thought that was a pretty realistic assessment.

True about the incumbent's numbers. And you're right. Look at Simon. He was down 11-16%. That was according to the presstitutes, however. ;^)

Yeah, it's possible the numbers are trending Vilsack's way. He's almost certainly leading by a bit at this point in time. But the incumbent's under 50% in all three polls.

The only way to lower Viltax's numbers is to go negative. It will happen, mark my words.

A personal question for you: Are you coop,,, as in double circle,,, or coop as in chicken?

By late August Simon was down 30 points, according to one poll.

I'm not sure what you're asking. Coop (rhymes with stoop) is a nickname.

Out here in the sticks we have a farm supply company, which is called the Co-Op,, short for CoOperative. Many of us call it the Coop. And then of course, there is a coop, which chickens were grown in when we were children,, this is pronounced like coup,,, as in Little Duce.

Oh, never mind.

Let's bring back the diaresis. It's actually proper English, but it's not used much, except by the New Yorker. Then we'd have a coop for chickens and a coöp to get farm supplies. And the diaresis would also make spelling uncoöperative much easier. Other words that could use it include reëlection, reëvaluate, naïve, etc.
