The upside to this is the Republican Illinois delegation will outvote the Illinois 'RATs without Blah-oh-$hit...the downside is that the little weasel actually has a good shot at being elected governor (scary, isn't it?)
They keep saying Rod appeals to folks outside his base, so I'd like to see him "represent" one of the state's swing districts (perhaps the 10th, 12th, or 19th congressional districts) and pull this stunt. $100 bucks say they'd throw his butt out ASAP. Chicago Dems should be thankful their brain dead constituents don't care HOW pathetic and corrupt the congressmen are.
At the very least, hearing about Bad-boy-avich's dirty laudrey is a welcome sign from the liberal media. It's dissappointing that Poshard (who actually WORKED for his constitents) is defending Blago's AWOL record, but Poshard is still a party loyalist at heart (personally, though, I think Poshard can't stand Blago). Now, let's here some stories about the kind of guy Blago's daddy-in-law is. That should be really fun. ;-)
I knew father-in-law well. Starting to tell stories could become uncontrollable.
Father-in-law used to speak to little old (white) ladies and scare them into supporting him to stop the tide of minorities (mostly Hispanics) moving into the NW side. Then he would go to the Hispanics and tell them how he was their friend and they needed him to survive in their new community.
Father-in-law played both sides, actively sending many of his precinct captains to work for Betty Loren-Maltese in Cicero, and for Republicans of a similar stripe in city and suburbs.
But my stories are small stuff. Imagine if switch hitter Ed Vrdolyak were to start talking. He won't because he makes a lot more money and weilds a lot more power behind the scenes in the Repubicrat party by keeping quiet.
