TOPICS: Michigan; Issues; Parties; State and Local
KEYWORDS: alancropsey; banglist; bigrapids; brighton; fowlerville; frankenmuth; hartland; howell; ionia; livingstoncounty; mecosa; michigan; saginaw; secondamendment; wasthenaw
On the state senate side, Alan Cropsey is our number one guy. He's running for State Senate in a district covering Clinton, Isabella, Ionia, and a couple of other areas. I encourage everyone to vote for him that lives in his district.

As for the 66th district(My district), the candidates (all GOP)there are Chris Ward and Rick Chrysler. Steve Williams was running as well(and would have likely won), but he was called up since he was in the reserves so unfortunatly, he withdrew. Chris Ward is the County Clerk and former GOP Chair. Rick Chrysler was on the county commision, and he's the son of former Congressman Dick Chrysler.

On the 47th district, The candidates are Greg Bogdanski, Dave Domas, Howard Dillman, and Buddy Moorehouse. One other candidate too that may possibly run. I forgot his last name. Joe is his first name, and he's from Fowlerville. He's 21 and running against the odds here. Bogdanski is I believe Hartland Township Supervisor. Domas is a County Commissioner. Dillam is Hamburg Township supervisor. Buddy Moorehouse is a Newspaper Editor for the Livingston County Press.

Hope to see as many freepers at these events as possible.

Dan, you might consider posting this on the Michigan Freeper Local to get some more attention. I'm sure these local races are important, but they are just not going to get a lot of attention on the national forum. Most of the people who see the thread have no clue about the state legislature races in Michigan.

I'm very enthusiastic that here Illinois' 18th Senate District (Cook Co.-SW suburbs), the Worth-Palos GOP found a good Republican candidate to file at the last second to succeed our now legendary outgoing Senator, Pat O'Malley . But, of course, we have been redistricted into a Democrat-majority district (Chicago neighborhoods now in the 18th), so it will be a major uphill to win in November. We're been pretty active drawing up battle plans to elect Frank Bertucci here, but there's no news about it on the national forum. It's all on the state page and the Chicagoland Chapter Forum.
