It's always sad to lose a conservative. Best wishes to the Congressman and his family.

Sen. Bundgaard to Consider Run For retiring-Rep. Bob Stump’s Seat

State Capitol - “Bob Stump’s legacy is significant to Arizona. The person that succeeds him will have big boots to fill,” said Republican state Senator Scott Bundgaard. “We’ve enjoyed respected, conservative leadership for many years because of his service.”

“After receiving numerous calls this morning urging me to run for Mr. Stump’s seat, I will give serious consideration to the issue. The number of people that have contacted me in so short a period of time is nothing short of overwhelming. This decision will require prayer, a long talk with my family and conversations with Arizona business and political leaders before I can make a decision next week.”

Sen. Scott Bundgaard, 34, has served Legislative District 19 in the State Senate for six years. Prior to that, he served two years as a State Representative. Please see www.bundgaard.com for more information.

Scott will do a great job but I will greatly miss him at the state level! He's been great at keeping his constiutents informed, and he's one of the few senators that answers his own emails!
