OK, multiple convictions for assault, including stabbing someone 8 times, 8 arrests in this year alone with only one charge filed and he is still walking the streets.

Almost always, when someone commts a heinous crime, it is not his first. Rather, his crimes become increasingly violent as he goes along. A firm three-strikes law would bring safety back to our cities. Third felony, life in prison. Not as punishment, because with a three-time felon punishment obviously doesn’t work. But rather it’s confining someone who cannot live in civil society, so that he cannot harm anyone else.

Judges hate three-strikes laws. They’d rather you got your eye gouged out, or your throat cut on a bus by a 15-time loser.

I lived on Bainbridge Island, right across Puget Sound from Seattle. Had a wonderful life on the island, but even 20-25 years ago, I had to be very careful in Seattle bcause of crazies like this one. My doctor was there and could safely walk up the hill (”Pill Hill”) from the ferry to his office. A lot of MDs there.

Downtown was nice but not 100% safe
and I preferred to go with a friend.
