Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has introduced a new bill to "END the mass replacement of American workers" by ultimately phasing out the H-1B visa program.
The move by Greene to introduce legislation aimed at ending the H-1B visa program signifies an intensifying split within the Republican Party over immigration and U.S. labor policy. The debate puts a spotlight on differing visions for the future of America's workforce, U.S. competitiveness in global technology and research sectors, and the policies that shape immigration and employment.
It also brings to the forefront the challenges President Donald Trump faces as he seeks to balance economic pragmatism with the “America First” sentiments of his political base.

Good. End it. We don’t need imported labor.
Oligarchy, Collectivism or Republic, which shall it be?
There goes the Red Sox batting order.
She’s becoming more America first than Trump himself.
I wish somebody would I densify one H-1B visa holder that has such important skills that we need him here in America. What is his name and what special talent does he have that is so important? Be specific.
densify = identify (spell checker)
Will Green try to organize a movement to “out-MAGA” Trump?
Matt Gaetz got knee-capped for espousing the same sentiments as Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Expect The Empire to silence her as well.
And is your name really Anna Commander?
The GOP will not support this bill. IMHO - Corporate and elite profits that fund both parties will continue to sacrifice the American worker for profits. Sadly MTG in in the minority on this issue.
An excellent question
In 30 years, I am afraid we will be indistinguishable from Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, etc.... They are not terrible countries, but these places already have a history of bloated, centralized government, crony-corruption, massive debt, inflation, and life-and-death struggles between left/right factions for control of the state.
😃 That was confusing
The best thing you can say about the H-1B visa program is that it is lazy.
Instead of developing programs here in America to fill shortages, companies take the easier - and cheaper - way out.
The whole H-1B idea is in exact opposition to MAGA. It is both surprising and disappointing that Trump evidently does not see that.
Trump has brought out another great political issue...whether he wants it or not.
I think he wants it at some level and he cannot discuss this even with his own party that is so dumb stuck on being controlled by the wrong forces.
I want outrage by MAGA.
Trump will remember who brought him to the dance.
Agree! ❤️
They aren't different "visions." They're different realities.
H1-B may improve Amazon's or Intel's or Walmart's bottom lines and improve their international competitiveness, but doing so does nothing for US competitiveness: no American's acquire skills or leadership in those positions, much of the tech is stolen by China and others, and America as a whole winds up poorer and less competitive.
The H1-B programs, like much of US government work with US-based corporations, is a cash-extraction enterprise aimed at pauperizing ordinary Americans and enriching corporate managers and their lackeys in the political class. It's basically yet another legalized form of looting America.
I looked it up. Densify is actually a word.
So because of a typo, I learned something new.
👍🏻
Densify (verb): To make something denser or more compact.
American Firsters don’t covert with the traitors on the view that should be Pinocheted.
Excellent summary of the issue—well done.
