Shirts if you’re inclined.
I did donate $23.00 to his campaign, since he’s running to represent district 23.
texas booster - Texas Ping list?
After reading his Wiki page (I know they’re often wrong), I am not so sure I would want him as the republican nominee.
Says he started a small business in firearm manufacturing. Was that just his YouTube site?
Also, I wouldn’t want him to drag down the party if he’s attached to the white supremacist. Not saying it’s true but it’s on his Wiki page and he should certainly address that.
Again, not saying it’s all true but I would prefer someone else unless this is all cleared up.
Read for yourself:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brandon_Herrera
Since at least 2013, Herrera has also been a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, a neo-Confederate organization that promotes the Lost Cause and has ties to white supremacist groups.[32][34] He appeared in welcome videos produced by the organization, where he referred to the American Civil War varyingly as the “War of Northern Aggression” and the “War for Southern Independence”, and advertised the group’s “annual Yankee shoot”, where members used antique rifles to shoot at “posters of [their] favorite Yankees”.[32][34]

And not sure if true but there are accusations of him trying to come across as serving in the military when he didn’t.
Thanks for posting. If Wikipedia smears him, he must be a great guy. Not my district, but I am likely to donate to his campaign.

A ping out to the Texas Ping list, founded by Windflier.
Texas's 23rd congressional district stretches across the southwestern portion of Texas. It is a majority Hispanic district and has been represented by Republican Tony Gonzales since 2021.
The 23rd district runs along the majority of Texas' border with Mexico, north of the Rio Grande. It stretches from western San Antonio to El Paso, encompassing numerous county seats and towns of regional economic importance.
The district is predominantly rural. Campaigning is difficult due to its size and disparate influences; the population density is one of the lowest in any congressional district. Economic activities include farming, ranching, oil, and mineral extraction; also recreation, manufacturing, and tourism, as it encompasses all of Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park.
So, the redistricting in 2020 drew this district from San Antonio to El Paso, but not including too much of either city. It is primarily rural, but it looks like all of the Republican areas were shoehorned in so that the Dems could have a couple of seats in the cities. No idea if Brandon Herrera is better than Rep Gonzales, but I see that most of it is flyover county, even by Texas standards. All decisions for voting should come from the area.
Another special Texas summer edition for your perusal.
As always, please FReepmail me if you want on or off the Texas Ping list.
Blessings, and stay cool!
Ah, yes, the AK guy has some unfinished business. He didn’t lose the runoff by much last time. The incumbent, Tony Gonzales, is a major RINO who voted against the Border Safety and Security Act. Later censured by the Texas Republicans by a 55-7 vote.
