After promising in 2016 that "for every blue-collar Democrat we lose in western Pennsylvania, we will pick up two centrist Republicans in the suburbs in Philadelphia," Democratic Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has had the last laugh repeatedly, and election night 2023 is no exception.
Although the ink is still drying on the exit polls and outstanding ballots are still being counted, there is no way of getting around it: Republicans once again widely underperformed, and they did so in the races that faced the most national scrutiny. Above all, the string of disappointments suffered since 2018 makes clear that the GOP has traded a once-winning coalition for a losing one.Working class wallets, and the smaller dollars they are capable of donating, would not be an issue if Republican turnout remained robust. Yet when Democrats coalesced their new coalition of disproportionately college-educated and female voters, they also inherited not just the most enthusiastic partisans, but also the most enthusiastic planners who turned out in much larger numbers.
Between the Democratic political machine and its new cadre of voters, Democratic turnout has thus exploded relative to its pre-2018 off-year election baseline, while Republican turnout has failed to keep up.

that's my two cents
“If I had a dollar for every time that Donald Trump or some other big shot has personally reached out to me to tell me that my donation will be matched 10,000 X, I would be a rich man.”
I’ve been told that Donald wants to have dinner with me personally at Mara-a-Lago - now I find out he’s been two-timing me. I’m so hurt!
Just remember, PA sent out 1.8 million mail in ballots, and got back 2.5 million
Where Abortion was not on the ballot, the GOP did well.
All of these belly-button examinations are just to shape the gullible electorate into doom-and-gloom mentality. Nothing but propaganda to accept fraudulent elections and RINOs in place of patriots.
That IS a problem.
I hope that we are watching the demise of The GOP. The problem with The GOP is The GOP. You can’t fix it. You have to chuck it out.
Win Red is annoying. I don’t donate specifically because of it. Who’s idea was it?
The number of times the eGOP has let me down is beyond counting. What I have asked for is simple, and I am not donating to be tracked and harassed.
1. Close the borders. Simple and supported by most Americans. No more illegals. Deport them all. We can’t afford them.
2. Welfare. 5 years of lifetime government support during working years, 18-68, and every year adds one year to Medicare and SS benefits. You don’t work, you don’t eat if you game the system.
3. Disability. People with real disabilities, especially children with birth disabilities, need resources and enough money for lifetime care. 400 dollars a month doesn’t meet that need. Especially hard to stomach with illegals getting thousands in assistance a month.
4. 25 years into social security to get money out. Absolutely NO use of Social Security for illegal aliens and welfare subsidies.
5. States make decisions on abortion and most other self determination. (Abortion is no a state controlled issue)
6. No Federal government money for censorship, or advertising for political purposes, EVER.
7. Lifetime prison sentences for government employees using their job positions for partisan political adventures. Hope the FBI heard that.
8. Free and Fair and elections that can be audited. Voter roles checked, voters checked, and machines not connected to the internet.
9. AVOID FOREIGN WARS AND ENTANGLEMENTS.
10. Dissolution of the CIA, and reforming as multiple military branch intelligence services. To powerful as it is and dangerous.
Gee, I wonder who has that program?
The GOP just sits back and lets the Democrats define the issues. Trump fights them on everything.
fraud has exploded.
.
Ronna McRomney was focused on keeping Christie in all the debates over Voter Turnout.
I know so many that have just turned off Politics completely, and they were conservatives. They say nothing is going to happen when I text them the latest Biden outrage. Like Hillary before him.
I have no reason to vote: thanks to redistricting, I now live in a 75% Democrat district. Where my representative was once Beth Van Duyne, it is now a tru blue Democrat. I’ll vote for Trump and Cruz next year, but that’s about it.
The problem is that there is a major schism in the GOP between the MAGAs and the RINOs.
Instead of having half the voters, half the grass roots workers, and half the donations, a candidate has a quarter, depending on whether they are MAGA or RINO.
And actually, they have less than that in terms of donations, since a lot are being collected by Trump.
I spent most of the past year politely replying “STOP,” but the numbers only respond they won't use that phone number, again.
Just banning the numbers still keeps 4-7 new messages a day on new phone numbers, though.
The email campaigns simply add your name to a new list and you have to now have to remove yourself from that one. Same with the texts. There can be no end to them.
I have given to many dozens of campaigns. WinRed is set up to where you have to give it your phone number to donate, and all the non-respecting campaigns use WinRed. When I see a campaign use Anedot, I actually can trust that campaign. There's one other donation platform that I can trust, too, but never WinRed.
WinRed always claims they have nothing to do with your texts and emails, but I believe WinRed specifically enables the spam, because I believe they allow easy copying between campaigns, and they want the income from everyone sharing your prior WinRed data to be as enabled as possible, on WinRed.
Good list—everybody in DC is too busy getting paid off by lobbyists to care...
We need to give them the same respect they give us.
Zero.
Nada.
Zilch.
And how many times have you gotten a text saying “We don’t want your money. We just want your survey responses.”
Then, when you go, you see the immediate WinRed funding form, with no survey, anywhere.
Your point is taken, but the flip side is the GOP apparatchiks have failed to recognize that legal voting is not confined to election day
