Decades ago most “white working class or poor” were Democrats esp in the South. Sometime along the line they broke off to join GOP (dixiecrats,southern strategy all that) when Democrats started pandering to minorities in the 60s/70s
It seems like this same group feels partyless again or alienated. It’s interesting

I'm no longer a Repugnant. I vote for the man and never again a straight party ticket. I actually didn't vote for anyone when Romney ran. I only voted these last two presidential elections because of Trump.
