Arguably the best exchange during Tuesday nightâs gubernatorial debate (the first of two) came when Phil Murphy â who spent most of the night trying to deflect away from his record â tried to smack Jack Ciattarelli over January 6th.
âIf you want to talk about disqualifiers: âIf taxes are your issue, weâre probably not your state,'â Ciattarelli said, responding to Murphyâs oft-repeated allegation that the GOP nominee willingly participated in a âStop the Stealâ rally. âOr saying that you wanted to make New Jersey the California of the East Coast? I consider those disqualifiers.â
âThe people died, Assemblyman! People died!â a straining Murphy shot back, referring to the Capitol Hill riot.
âYou mean like the people in the nursing homes or Tropical Storm Ida?â Ciattarelli replied. And enthusiastic applause ensuedâ¦
If you remember how it went down? Itâs no wonder that Murphy looked like he had swallowed sour milk after Jack hit him with that nursing home zinger.
Back on March 31, 2020, Murphyâs health department head (Judith Persichilli) issued a directive that ended up being a a death sentence for thousands of New Jerseyâs most vulnerable residents. Persichilli cited Governor Murphyâs infamous Executive Order 103 to back up the following:
âNo patient/resident shall be denied re-admission or admission to the post-acute care setting solely based on a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19. Persons under investigation for COVID-19 who have undergone testing in the hospital shall not be discharged until results are available. Post-acute care facilities are prohibited from requiring a hospitalized patient/resident who is determined medically stable to be tested for COVID-19 prior to admission or readmission.â

In April of 2020, our grand kids lost their other grandmother due to this bastard Murphy.
She had been in an excellent senior citizen home and got supposedly pneumonia and was sent to a NJ hospital.
In less than a week she was back in the NJ Nursing home, getting Oxygen and inject-able Midazolam and Morphine.
My RN wife wondered what in hell was going on. I told her and the woman’s daughter, our DIL, that the senior citizen home was now an undeclared Hospice.
Our grandkids’ other grandmother died a few days later.
They couldn’t have her funeral until late summer.
