I had the same experience. I will not every let McAfee onto my computer again after this year. I did not authorize them to install this year, but, too late I realized that I had not checked the box to prevent them from automatically installing it. They alerted me that it was expiring and I thought it would without me having to do anything. I learned the hard way. I disabled their firewall. One wonders if they are just censoring.

I wonder if it calls home to let them know that you unblocked it. Compiling a list? I assume Mcafee has your particulars.

Funny, I was just wondering this morning how much longer the now-empowered Marxists (thanks again Lin Wood, for throwing the Georgia elections to them) will allow sites like FR to continue.

I doubt we make it to the end of the year, even though we’re quite small here and usually under the radar.

About 3 months ago I de-installed McAfee entirely. Aside from renewing subscription without authorization, it was consuming up to 180 meg a day “downloading updates” even though I had automatic updates turned off. I also noticed that it was apparently asking permission from the mothership whenever I tried to create a new folder, or to just delete a file. Delay of 10 to 15 seconds unless I disabled my LAN connection.

Enough. No more McAfee, no more problems.

The backtalk I got from phone support when I called to cancel was epic.

I use CCleaner, Glary Utilities, Malwarebytes and Ghostery. All free.........................

I have had this happen three times in the last week or so. Just Free Republic blocked, everything else worked. Meanwhile, I could access Free Republic on other devices, without McAfee on them.

I tried to find somewhere in McAfee LiveSafe to whitelist the site, but could not find the option.

Access just resumed on its own after a while.

My mom wanted to send some info about the cheating to a friend so I compiled some basic stuff and did research online.

I Googled “more votes than voters”.
Google results stated “false”. (I didn’t go beyond the first page.)
I did the same in DuckDuckGo and got actual data at the top.

I’m not sure, but I think that when Matt Whitaker backed out of confirmation for FBI Director, he went to work as an attorney for PCMatic. The abuse he was taking from the RATs at the hearings pissed him off, so he ended it. When I see him commenting on TV he seems like a great guy.

I had this happen a couple of times a few days apart about 1 - 1 1/2 weeks ago. I also tried to find a place to white list with no luck, but about mid-day it usually resolved. I have not had any issues for a week or more.

But he didn’t cost Georgia the election....The two primary causes came from two issues:

1. The illegal consent agreement entered into between Raffensperger and Stacy Abrams allowed ballot stuffing in Georgia by not having a signature match on mail-in ballots. Hundred of thousands of ballots processed that would have normally been rejected.

2. Stacy Abrams very effective mass registration and turn out the vote program.....

3. The ineffectiveness of both Governor Kemp and SOS Raffensperger to fix these issues after November 3.

Republicans have been ineffective for many years now due to complacency, ineptness, and political patronage versus developing early community outreach and a good ground game.

For example, Newt’s old district 6 is now Lucy McBath (D), which is unconscionable. They ran Karen Handle twice who was the worst candidate I’ve ever seen.....

You can’t blame Lin Wood. The Georgia election was rigged the same way it was rigged on Nov. 3. Nothing changed. It has been proven in front of everyone’s eyes that it did not matter how many people would show up to vote. You can no longer “outvote” the fraud. They can simply find enough votes to win using the driver’s license rolls which include people from 16 years old to 100, dead or alive. No matter how long it takes.

I blame ANYONE who undercuts Trump (in this case his visits to Georgia). What I can’t figure out is why people are siding with this clown over Trump. What the hell Lin Wood accomplished for our side?

Most websites nowadays are “HTTPS”, i.e. secure sites. Freerepublic is still “HTTP”.

A lot of security software doesn’t like that.
