It’s worth noting that this nonsensical tweet came from the Teachers Union leadership. In most cases, the union leadership does not reflect the views of the average rank-and-file member. But this being Chicago, who knows?
Side comment: You might be wondering how the union leadership can be so far left, while the average member is usually not. I have mentioned this elsewhere. Union elections are very often rigged. I could tell you a week’s worth of stories about that.
