I suppose the only positive thing that can be said about this is that the boy did not suffer.
Some mothers (probably myself) in the same situation would spiral down into depression, eventually learning to “cope” but be a shell of her former self. This mother seems like a fighter...and *if* it turns out Mr Scum just wanted to kill a white boy, this strong mom may be able to put a national spotlight on BLM as the joke that it is.
