Shelly Luther.....hmmm...

Shouldn't she be nailing her objection to the courthouse door?

Texas is home to 28,995,881 people. It’s had 32,879 diagnosed Wuhan virus cases (that is, 0.11% of the population got diagnosed) and 890 virus deaths (0.003% of the population).

This virus is not an "emergency" in most states, certainly not to the point it should grant dictatorial power, but there are absolutely no checks or balances to the power these governors have seized, and refuse to release.

The judge is a democrat who is up for re-election this November. He is in a solidly democrat region, though. His first judgeship was an appointment by Ann Richards.

This is beyond wrong. They’re letting criminals out of jail, and then jailing this woman who is trying to feed her family? Yes, I’m ready to protest and have never done so before.

nobody is forced to go to her salon, and yet the judge jenkins is forcing her to go to jail.

Please contact Governor Abbott TODAY urging him to immediately issue a full pardon to Shelly Luther. It was a gratuitous sentence by a petty Dallas tyrant made moot since the lockdown on salons is ending Friday anyway. Abbott needs to be swamped with expressions of outrage. We just made our contribution to that.

some states are releasing murderers, rapists, child molesters, and other assorted criminals. Some judges are ordering ICE to release illegal aliens caught breaking into our county. Now we have other judges and states arresting and imprisoning people who just want to go back to work to keep from starving. How pathetic is that?

The judge’s oral opinion sounded better in the original German.

I keep saying this:
Ted Cruz needs to stop playing Jr President and start helping to fix Texas.
Its not like there is a shortage of things to fix in TX.

From the comments following the article, one poster says this......

“At a macro level in America government exists to protect citizens by ensuring their right to be secure in property, speech, religion, their chosen profession, life, and liberty. When government does not serve that purpose and instead becomes the oppressor and denier of those rights then that government loses its right to exercise authority over the citizens. It is not the citizens that are acting like an out of control mob, it is the tin-pot would be dictators and their henchmen in law enforcement and the courts. Whatever conflagration that comes as a result of these government overreaches is on them. “
