Just my opinion, but I believe Elton John is conservative in his core beliefs. He happens to be in a world where wokeness would destroy him if it became public knowledge.

One of the constants in social media posts from or emails between conservatives is the hope that the coronavirus pandemic will knock the underpinnings from gender madness.

Don't expect a disease to do the hard work of forming the society you want. There are a very small number of adults who have a compulsion to dress and act like members of the opposite sex, and even use surgery and hormone treatments to get closer to their ideal. I feel bad for such people, and have no desire to hurt their feelings or otherwise make their difficult lives harder.

But I'm not going to pretend that they're men when they're really women, and I'm not going to pretend that they're women when they're really men. Denying reality is a step beyond what I'll do to avoid hurting someone's feelings.
