Democrats had no issues with Bill Clinton's personal character after he sold his office to the Chinese via "white house coffees", sexually harassed an intern in the Oval Office, committed perjury, bombed aspirin factories to deflect attention from his scandals, etc.
Trump, on the other hand, tweets a lot and he talked once on the phone to a guy in Ukraine so he has character issues that concern them deeply.
