On Thursday evening, President Trump will arrive at Minneapolis’s Target Center for his first political rally since House Democrats began an impeachment investigation. Which raises the question: Why Minnesota?
Because Trump thinks he can win there in 2020.
“[That’s a] state that I’m going to win — Minnesota,” Trump told Turning Point USA in July. “I almost won it last time. We came [within] just about a point. Minnesota is very hard work for a Republican to win. We almost won it — one more night. I wanted to go there one more time. I said, ‘I’m telling you, we’re going to win Minnesota.’”
If Trump were to win Minnesota’s 10 electoral votes, it’s almost impossible to see how a Democrat could defeat him next November. And he’s right: Even though the state is “very hard work” for a Republican — no GOP presidential candidate has carried it since 1972, and no Republican, period, has won a statewide race in 13 years — Trump did, in fact, almost upset Hillary Clinton there in 2016, falling short by just 45,000 votes, or 1.5 percentage points.

Agree. Best Trump can hope for is to force the Dems to spend money on down-ticket races in Dem stronghold states (IL, CA, NY). That alone would be a leading indicator of a Trump/GOP “bigly” victory.

So? It is what it is. Three-quarters of the people in Illinois live in the Chicago metro area. Cook, Lake, DuPage, Kane, Will, they all went for Hillary by between 6 and 53 points. That's not going to change in 2020.
If President Trump can win Duluth, he can carry Minnesota.
And had the election been a few days earlier he could have lost Minnesota by 10 points too.
As a resident (for now ... ) of this socialist hell-hole, there's simply NFW PDJT can win this state. This state is so far gone it's not even funny.
I'm currently interviewing (via skype) for jobs in Chattanooga, Tennessee and Charleston, South Carolina. The role in Chattanooga looks promising, I'm one of four final candidates and am flying there next week for a F2F with the CTO and CIO of the org. Hoping I get it....

it is far leftist by inclination but so far the D’s haven’t got a sale-able candidate, just a bunch of liars, anti-American seditionists, and corruptoids
and MN people are intelligent. they can see right through the lying likes of Fake Injun Squaw (can’t even tell the truth about her own self!), corruptoid Biden, and old Bernie the Red, etc. MN people still have some good basic integrity (from the religious heritage of the state, even though not everyone nowadays is faithful). They will vote for a centrist, pragmatist (such as PDJT) if (like PDJT) s/he is basically honest and has the American people’s legitimate best interests at heart (like PDJT).
I am convinced PDJT can win MN! It is a midwestern state at least by heritage, proud not grovelling to dictators or wanna-be dictators...its just not Massachusetts!
Unless of course federal Marshals supevise ballot custody and the count due to shenanigans with the early vote and to threats from chapters of ANTIFA.
