Joe Biden’s son is no mere “child” despite the claims by Democrat shills.
I think there's a piece missing. Something was said to Biden about not having the authority and that only the President could do that. I think Biden said...You want me to call him. This is what I believe I read but will go back and try to verify it.

The entire DNC-MSM establishment has continually personally attacked Donald Trump’s family including his son Baron Trump.
The story making the rounds yesterday about his campaign staff trying to get TV networks to stop booking Rudy Giuliani is a giant red flag. Doing this in such a public manner — instead of just picking up the phone and calling these network executives privately — is clear evidence of fear, panic and ineptitude from top to bottom in Biden’s campaign.

The open and brazen corruption on Biden’s part in that video clip tells me that he never intended to run for President when he left office.
This is a Hillary Deep State operation. Clearing the field of Biden and, she thinks, hurting Trump a bit in the process.
From this they move to a RINO challenger or two to Trump in the primary. Romney is their ideal stooge for that. Beat him up a bit more.
Then the Clinton Crime Family - who still controls the DNC and Superdelegates - will show up at the convention and steal the nomination.
Warren won’t get Wall Street money and can’t win without that. Biden is too damaged. Hillary is the only one that can win. So she has to ‘save the party and the country’ will be the pre-scripted MSM narrative.
Now that the2014-2016 Ukrainian corruption genie is out of the bottle the Obama/Clinton crew need a fall guy. As the democrats and media whores realize Joe is fatally damaged I think they will quickly turn on him. If Biden hangs for Burisma why not put the Ukrainian/CrowdStrike/2016 election fraud around his neck too?

I agree with you.This has Hillary’s fingerprints all over it. She’s all over the tube calling Trump illegitimate and assorted other things. She’s just hoping to step in if Biden bombs. The question is: do the Democrats want to deal with her again?

Actually, Trump is not attacking Biden’s family. He is attacking Biden’s corruption in using our taxpayer money to coerce the Ukrainian government into not prosecuting his family.
Biden’s son is a bit player. Biden is the main act here.
