Please spare the life of Miss Whiskers by donating $5, $10, or even $15 to the failing presidential campaign of Robert Francis ORourke. Otherwise, the kitten may not be long for this world.
That was said jokingly by ORourke (or was it?) during his interview on the stage of TribFest this weekend but it shows the level of desperation that the candidate has reached.
TribFest, for those unfamiliar with it, is a three-day annual event sponsored by The Texas Tribune in Austin. Its a far-left wonderland where people like Nancy Pelosi are not adequately liberal enough for most of the audience. (Jazz referenced her appearance.) Her lecture to the notoriously young and super-woke crowd present didnt elicit near the rousing applause that other guests did, especially when she pledged to support incumbents over candidates looking to unseat them. Rep. Henry Cuellar, a member of the Texas congressional delegation who is considered one of the few moderate Democrats left in the House, was singled out recently by Justice Democrats and has a primary challenger. Justice Democrats, you remember, backed AOC in her primary challenge in 2018.

He must have seen the old National Lampoon cover and got an idea.
In before, no wait...
Is that a Colt?
I recall when that magazine issue came out. It wasn’t funny then, and it’s not really funny now. I get the silly-logic of the sight gag. I just like dogs too much.
Beto, this is not the time to be making Monty Python, Nerdy jokes. I thought you were running for president of the USA, not president of the National Wisecrack Society.
S&W. Looks like an N frame 2 1/2 barrel but Im just guessing.
I think your right.
Smith.
I carried a Smithy for 3 years as a cop at an Air Base and it looked different. IIRC it was a K frame.
Beto O’Rourke copying P.J. O’Rourke.
If he is willing to kill a kitten for money, just think what he would do to an NRA member, or Christian, or gun owner for a few bucks? Sick bastard!
Smith&Wesson ...
Regarding double action revolvers:
Colt revolvers tend to have the cylinder latch directly in line with the cylinder axle(?) and activated by pulling backward.
S&W tend to have the cylinder latch slightly below the axle(?) and activated by pushing forward.
If there are exceptions to the above, I’m unaware of them.
Looks like a S&W K frame.
The N Frames are much better at delivering attitude adjustment for minor offenses, good balance.
Where’s PETA?
cripes...old SNL skit -Larry The Lobster...
No, Smith and Wesson model 19 .357 magnum.
The best ever was when they chopped up a live lobster on live TV during the TODAY show way back when...(late 80s?) I just happened to flip on the TV as they went into the segment and Katie Couric(?) jumper as the chef chopped up what she thought was a dead lobster and then nearly fainted dead away when saw those chitinous appendages trying to extricate themselves from the boiling water. The chef had a slightly mischievous grin on his face as he tried to assure her everything was alright.
