Anti-Trump Rep. Al Green, D-Texas, said House Democrats should impeach the president to curb his political donor list and stifle his campaign's fundraising efforts ahead of 2020.
Green appeared on MSNBC's "Weekends with Alex Witt" on Sunday and cited a poll claiming 51 percent of voters saw Trump as racist. He also said that even if Trump isn't convicted in the Senate, the process would serve to hurt his campaign coffers.
"Fifty-one percent of the American public believes that the president is a racist," he said. "Fifty-one percent... It is one thing to want to defeat the president at the polls, but it’s another thing to understand that we have to impeach the philosophy that he’s perpetrating upon society. If we impeach the philosophy, we take on a broader... threat to society than just defeating him at the polls."
In a Quinnipiac poll released late last month, 51 percent of voters said President Trump was racist while 45 percent said he was not.

If 51 percent of the country thinks Trump is a racist, then we have reached an official watershed moment where the intelligence level of an average American person is at retardation level of mental capacity. Not a good sign. I guess that’s what Idiocracy was based on.

Impeachment could actually help the fundraising. It could backfire on him.
But more importantly, you can’t impeach a president to impede fundraising. Where do you find a desire to hurt fundraising, within the constitutional requirement of “treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors” for impeachment??

No, its just one particular poll by a particular group. These libtard polls always poll more demtards than republicans. They have a predetermined desire to get certain results. They do a poll to create a fake news piece to report on.
I don’t want President Trump impeached, but only because that would further damage the legitimacy of our government. We don’t need to take yet another step toward a bloody second civil war. However, impeachment would galvanize decent American voters better than even President Trump’s speeches to packed stadiums. The “impeachment” mantra without associated charges is so obviously illegitimate that it would be the best election motivator in history.
