The late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) listed off the names of dictators while watching President Trump's inauguration, according to Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.).
HuffPost reported that during a campaign event in Iowa, the 2020 Democratic presidential contender told the crowd of more than 200 about sitting next to McCain and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) during Trump's inaugural address.
I sat on that stage between Bernie and John McCain, and John McCain kept reciting to me names of dictators during that speech because he knew more than any of us what we were facing as a nation, she said. He understood it. He knew because he knew this man more than any of us did.
The new story from Klobuchar adds to a list of extensive criticism from McCain, who was one of few Republican senators to regularly oppose the president.
Trump and McCain feuded on and off before the senator's death, and Trump has repeated his criticism of the late Arizona lawmaker even after his funeral.
In March, Trump ramped up his criticism of McCain, accusing him of handing a dossier of explosive claims about Trumps ties to Russia to the FBI for very evil purposes.
At the time, he told reporters, I was never a fan of John McCain, and I never will be.
He also complained about not receiving a thank you for approving funeral arrangements for McCain, despite his dislike for the former senator. McCain was memorialized at Washingtons National Cathedral last fall, and Trump was not invited to attend.

Hey Amy, dictators do not allow themselves to be voted out of office. They either flee the country or are carried out feet first.
The more they try to make Trump look bad the worse THEY look. TRUMP has caught the attention of the country which intrigues more people into paying more attention to political events. One thing you have to say about Trump — he is not boring. He attracts the attention of the people which makes many more people interested in learing about events. The press, the Dems and the wicked media can attack Trump all they want but many of the average man and woman who may not have been interested in politics are now paying closer attention. And there is something about Trump that says ...I am with the common guy. People like that!
Are you replying to me on the wrong thread?
Not that I mind being reminded how two faced McCain was.
Sorry but I was just reminding us of how McCain grifted off the Millitary Industrial Complex. Sorry.
Honesty, I am amazed how McCain's has been dead for four years, and still manages to get in the news and cause grief.
That is not normal.
