The president of the Houston Police Officers’ Union isn’t mincing words after four officers were shot and one was injured while serving a narcotics warrant on the city’s southeast side.
Just guessing but, wouldn’t there be 5 officer injured?

I’ve been straining to hear who these people were? Any names? Photos?

I understand his anger and frustration but what can he do differently? Aggressive policing like stop and frisk is lambasted as racist and the politicians won't have his back. Shooting first and asking questions later will land his cops in jail pronto. Until such time as society is willing to stop persecuting cops and looking the other way when they are murdered, their best choice is to phone it in. Do nothing, let the bad guys run rampant and collect a check. Then eventually there will be a cry for real policing again.
See New York City, 1970s / 1980s and the the rise of Giuliani in the 1990s.

That’s what I was thinking. How could 5 be shot and only one injured?

Yes, 5 were “injured” but it’s a better description of what happened to say: 4 officers were shot and 1 injured (he hurt his knee when retreating from gunfire).
