But the millenials see nothing wrong with socialism. They have been taught well that Capitalism is evil. Socialism as the alternative is just another option.....with no regard for the tens of millions of dead people and untold sorrows it has left in its wake.

These people are not “democratic socialists”.
Democratic Socialism is a largely defunct European model that held sway in much of Europe from the end of WW2 through the two thousands. Democratic Socialists were still nationalists.
The folks we have running for office now don’t believe in borders or national sovereignty. They are globalists as well as socialists.
Global Socialism was a term used interchangeably with Communism throughout the cold war. The two are still synonymous.

Democrats are now so fixated on eliminating Trump in an impeachment frenzy for the 2018 election that they have no serious candidates to challenge Trump in 2020. I expect the election this fall will not give Democrats the edge to seriously proceed with impeachment and leave them leaderless going into 2020. The only excitement is these new socialist darlings. However, while some millennials might get excited by socialism just like the young crowd flocked to McGovern’s anti VietNam war movement it will not carry them to the White House in 2020. Remember McGovern lost to Nixon in an election blow out.in 1972.
This is pretty misleading. He may be the only "candidate" presently, but both houses of Congress have been full of them for quite a long time.
