Rick Scott is the current Republican Governor of Florida. He was first elected governor in 2010 and was re-elected in 2014. Governor Scott has led the charge to get Florida back to work over the past eight years. Scott was ranked as the 20th most conservative of the country's 30 Republican governors in an April 2013 analysis by Nate Silver of the New York Times.
Prevented by term limits from running for governor again, Scott is seeking election to the U.S. Senate as a FL US senate republican candidate. Gov. Scott entered the race on April 9, 2018, posing the toughest challenge three-term Sen. Bill Nelson has faced. The race between the two-term governor and three-term senator promises to be a test of the popularity of President Donald Trump.
Sen. Nelson and Gov. Scott remain neck-and-neck in their high profile showdown, a poll released on June 22, 2018. Nelson gets 48 percent of the vote with Scott taking 46 percent, within the margin of error of +/- 4 percentage points.

Despite Trump’s win here in 2016, Florida has become a sanctuary state. Which is why Nelson still has strong backing and support. Scott has endorsed amnesty for DACA kids and illegals, as has been proposed by Cardenas from Miami, a liberal House Republican. Scott is no better than the guy he is trying to replace, and on immigration matters, has been a huge disappointment.
Not true
Scott is definitely better than liberal Bill Nelson....
....
From Bill Nelson’s Power Website(Abbreviated):
Tax Increaser
Reducing Military Defenser
Federal Spending Increaser
Climate Controller
Gun Grabber
Immigrant Amnestyer
Dodged Same Sex Marriage Question.
Dodged Terrorist Overseas Targeting Question- Weak on Terrorists
Typical DemocRAT
Florida is NOT a sanctuary state.....
....as in many states, a few counties claim sanctuary status.....
.....but most counties here are not
Our state voted TRUMP!
Scott will win.
Scott is pro-life, and Nelson is pro-abortion. That makes Scott the better choice, despite his flaws.
Scott is no better than the guy he is trying to replace, and on immigration matters, has been a huge disappointment.

Scott is not my ideal candidate but hes light years better than Nelson. We need to EVICT THE RAT NELSON FROM THE SENATE. Youre not being helpful in achieving that objective.
analysis by Nate Silver of the New York Times
...I stopped reading there....
Scott is anti-2A. Thats going to cost him votes he couldnt afford to lose. This after he promised to be pro-2A.
Traitors are more dangerous than enemies.
Traitors are more dangerous than enemies.
Normally I agree, however I do not consider Scott a traitor. He is trying to get elected in a state that has been getting bluer by the year due to the influx of northeastern libs and PR’s.
He is a strong supporter of POTUS and will always vote with him. Nelson is a snake and his voting record shows that.
Actually, I see him as a puppet for whomever dangles "goodies" before him and he always has been! He was a puppet in high school 60 years ago and has remained one!
It amazes me just how much Kool-Aid you can drink. Are you even a resident of the state? Moronic “Yay!” comments. Like you actually believe there’s a real difference between a Democrat and Republican candidate anymore. The women voters of America gave us Obama TWICE. What’s your next hat trick going to be?
WELL...atleast Scott has some balls and will vote for our rights....Nelson is a Shoe-mer slave.
Scott has backed DACA amnesty all the way. And he’s a paid-in-full member of the CHEAP LABOR EXPRESS. All of the growers, the agricultural lobbies, and the food service industry in this state—who depend upon cheap illegal labor— are bankrolling his campaign. Where do you think the money’s coming from?
There you go...just another stinking lawyer.
The senate may be in the balance so it does matter.
Wow, you really are worried that your RAT Senator Nelson is going down to defeat in November. Strange brew!
Ive been a member in good standing in my beloved state of Florida 44 years......and voted every single one of those years.
How long have you been here?
I have dreamed of, longed for Bill Nelson to take his blighted self somewhere far away.
Scott may not be perfect ( in this day, who is)
But hes a start!!!
I believe Scott is the only one strong enough to nullify Nelson
And I can YAY all I want and I sure will when the I see the backside of Nelson going down the road
Only if you believe that McCain is better than Hillary
