These appalling hacks are also taking a two-pronged approach:
If Hillary runs again (regardless of likelihood of a run or chance of success) they want another gig.
If someone else runs, especially a woman, they want another gig.
Any candidate would be mad to touch Hillary’s cadre of ineffectual losers - Palmeiri, Cutter, Rhodes, Mook - with a barge pole but Dems aren’t known for pursuing a meritocracy.

They’re suffering group delusions on several levels but as you say the first one was and is: their candidate was sick as a dog most days and drunk/hungover the rest.
The person they claimed could lead the free world couldn’t even waddle out on election night to thank her supporters who remained until the wee hours.
Nobody, including them, believed the bollocks about ‘waiting for an accurate final count’ of the electoral votes as claimed by the reptilian John Podesta.

Had she not literally insulted half of the voting population by calling them "Deplorable"...
Had she not cultivated a reputation for a nasty temper over the years...
Had she not lost by an amazing 93-7 score to Bernie Sanders among NH Democrat Primary voters who chose "Honesty/Trustworthiness" as their main desired character trait in a candidate...
Had she not so obviously cheated Bernie Sanders in the Primary (turning off many loyal Democrat voters)...
Had she not cavalierly dismissed the murder of a sitting Ambassador by asking "What difference does it make?"...
Had she not had a vast laundry list of scandals built up already before running in the primary...
Had she not attacked those who accused her husband of rape...
Had she not received blatantly obvious preferential treatment by CNN in the debates...
I could go on for a long time on this list...
