When I moved to North Carolina in the early 80's southerners weren't very friendly to "yankees".
Well can you blame them
Yankees turned the state purple
You notwithstanding personally
Where I live it depends
Suburban Yankees in Dixie tend to be refugees or family move and came here because it is more conservative
Urban ones are more lib...no question
I have many kalifornia and Chicago friends here in extended Nashville who came here to raise kids and love the south because it is more conservative socially as a rule
