Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., has signed on to a new bill to be introduced Friday by Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., and Susan Collins, R-Maine, to block President Trump's order to ban transgender military service, according to two congressional aides.
The stand-alone bill, which is also co-sponsored by Sen. Jack Reed, D-R.I., the top Armed Services Democrat, has the same language as an amendment proposed by Gillibrand and Collins this week for the National Defense Authorization Act that would prohibit the military from barring service based on gender. That amendment never received a floor vote due to a dispute between Republicans and Democrats over debate of the NDAA....

I’m not faulting Trump for his comment re: McCain’s POW status but I can appreciate that McCain will react to anything Trump does with a mindless fury and vindictiveness.

What makes him think Trump would sign this? Or does he think there’s enough support to override a veto?

It’s all for ink. And cameras. He has to be in the spotlight all the time. Attacking his own party assures it. Any honor he had earlier in his life is gone now. All that matters is getting on camera.

Someone needs to educate McCain and those other senate bottom feeders that the Constitution specifically and clearly vests the President with the role of commander-in-chief. It gives no command role to senators. Individually, they are merely one of 535 members of Congress.
It must be very liberating for McCain to show his true colors, though not so great for the country.

I couldn’t vote for Romney, he being an even bigger leftist than other Republican candidates. Mine was a write-in. I wasn’t mistaken.
He is taking his personal vendetta against Trump out on the military and by extension the entire USA. Hitler wanted Germany to bleed to death in 1945 as punishment for personally letting him down. Same kind of thinking going on here.

Well, there’s always that. If he’s just looking to be a camera whore maybe he should get a special website and make some money from it. That is, in addition to all the under the table money he already gets.

That is so on point. Of all the negative adjectives that would apply to McCain ‘vindictive’ is probably the most fitting overall.
Yet as history has irrevocably proven, Romney was the same type of person, beholden to the same interests, and both was then and is now pushing the same agenda as Obama.
So you only voted for a different physical appearance while voting for all of the same policies.
This is particularly poignant on this transgender issue because Mitt Romnecare was pushing all of that “teaching perversion to elementary shool kids” crap in the Massachusetts schools, and Obama recruited his Czar for pushing that from Romney’s old administration.
It was necessary for the RINOs to lose every time in order for the sheep not to nominate ¡YEB!

Yep...he’s going fast...his age isn’t helping rather goes against how long he will last if the chemo doesn’t kill him itself.....this is a very nasty treatment as well as the disease. All they’re doing now is keeping him alive for as long as possible...which isn’t very long from the looks of him.
