The elites are terrified of getting dragged into the streets and shot in the head or hanged from lampposts. Then buried in mass graves. I saw it happen to the elites in Libya when I did contract work for an Israeli company back in 2011. That scared the elitists chitless, especially Hillary.
Having many more firearms then the gov’t is a good thing, but don’t forget the “A well regulated militia ...” part.

We should not kid ourselves that any United States civilian group could prevail in a collision with the United States military.
We prevail against the military because it is populated with United States citizens. I think our fathers and mothers, sons and daughters, brothers and sisters would, in the end, disobey orders to wipe out their families and families of their friends.
I just don't think you could get my son to drop ordnance indescriminately on a United States city.
And yet, they remain mostly silent. Still, they insist on tempting fate.
There is a huge difference between armed people ordered to use their weapons and armed people who take an individual decision to use their weapons.
Someone at the table asked a Japanese Admiral why, with the Pacific Fleet devastated at Pearl Harbor and the mainland US forces in what Japan had to know was a pathetic state of unreadiness, Japan had not simply invaded the West Coast.
Commander Menard would never forget the crafty look on the Japanese Commander’s face as he frankly answered the question.
