Kid Rock teased a potential U.S. Senate run on Thursday, tweeting that '[t]he 2018 Political Revolution is nearing.'
The musician, who was born Robert Ritchie and lives in suburban Detroit, has already said on social media that a website touting his Senate candidacy against Democrat Debbie Stabenow is real.
He said in July that he would make a 'major announcement in the near future.'
Ritchie wrote on a Kid Rock for US Senate website that '[t]he democrats are "shattin’ in their pantaloons" right now…and rightfully so!'
'We will be scheduling a press conference in the next 6 weeks or so to address this issue amongst others, and if I decide to throw my hat in the ring for US Senate, believe me…

If I could vote for him I would. You forgot to mention the salacious videos—but the unfortunate “accident” of Ted Kennedy with Mary Joe is acceptable? Perhaps Franken in Minnesota is another role model.
Do those legally prohibit him from becoming a Senator?
That’s nothing compared to the treason and other heinous crimes committed by many of the sitting Sentators.
Every DAMNED person in government is a damned criminal at least he would fight for OUR SIDE!!! Not much of a chance of the swamp swallowing him up either!!! He HATES government!!!
My only problem with him is that he admits he’s a fiscal conservative and a social liberal. We actually have some viable solid conservatives who have declared their candidacy, among them are businesswoman Lena Epstein who was Trump’s campaign chair in Michigan, and Robert Young, who resigned his position as Chief Justice on the Michigan Supreme Court to run against Stabenow.
