They will pull wall funding to support Harvey victims. Everyone from both parties will vote for it, boxing in Trump.
No, that’s not it.
They’re cowards and will let Trump take all the heat for not signing.
And they’ll do their very best to ensure nobody gets 2/3 for an over ride.
Meanwhile the Republican Senate is freeking out and pissin their selves. There is definitely 2/3 there for over ride if it comes to default on debt. But, for naught. There’ll never be 2/3 of the House.
Expect Rinos and Dims in both houses of Congress to be in full, end of the world conniption and PEACOCK mode before this month is out.
Trump will give them borrowing authority, but hold fast on demanding an actual budget...no CR...with his priorities funded.
Watch this happen.
And watch Washington DC completely melt down.
Even bet that this wall sees one block placed,one shovel of dirt moved during this first term. The Wall is one of the fundamental ideals of MAGA. Those who do not support it are anti-American.

The stopgap is not the place for it.
It will be in the new budget, where it belongs.
The Dems are going to use the stopgap to shut down the government over... something.

Heck, don’t fund the wall AT ALL! Simply build it and worry about paying for it later. The Democrats have built an entire social system like this. At least we will have something to show for it AND it will be a great addition to our sovereignty. In the long run, it will pay for itself in keeping illegals out of our nation.

I believe Trump is going to have to find a way to fund the wall without congress. They don’t want it period. If he doesn’t reach that conclusion we are never going to get it, which would be just fine with Trump’s inner circle.
Actually many of them congress critters DO CARE. But their rich donors want cheap labor flooding in. A career politician can not survive without the rich donor class. They love the money and power of career politics. They all get rich by staying in politics. Drugs addiction is not a problem for the donor class.
But that requires chutzpah? It is lacking in the country clubbers.
