A group of congressional Democrats wants Congress to officially censure President Trump in the wake of the clashes in Charlottesville sparked by a neo-Nazi and white nationalist rally.
Led by Rep. Jerrold Nadler of New York, a senior Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, the censure resolution says Mr. Trump did a disservice to the country when he blamed “many sides” for the violence that erupted.
The lawmakers, though, go beyond Charlottesville, saying the president “has surrounded himself with, and cultivated the influence of, senior advisors and spokespeople who have long histories of promoting white nationalist, alt-Right, racist and anti-Semitic principles and policies within the country.”
The resolution urges Mr. Trump to fire anyone who suggests he “cater to the alt-right movement.”(continued)

The text of the censure will go something like this: “We, the hypocrites that make up Congress strongly condemn the President for condeming hatred and violence on both sides”....
I mean seriously, I’m starting to hope these idiots in Congress start having strokes.
I know it’s a dumb thing to keep on repeating but trying to keep up with the utter insanity of these people is like trying to keep up with Britney or Lindsay or Paris (or all three together) on a night on the town back in the day. Or trying to bottle Lake Erie, dear God.
Yeah. That is legislation that puts food on the table and solves so many problems for the people. What a bunch of Jack asses. Governing is not a reality show.
Affirmative action, which gives racial preferences that disadvantage one race in order to favor another race, is racist.
All Congressional Democrats support it.
They should censure themselves.
Pres. Trump could walk on water and would be criticized for getting the bottom of his feet wet.

Congress should respond by censuring the Democrats.
Or he could discover a cure for cancer, but be branded a sexist because he did not find one for breast or ovarian or uterine cancer first.

Maybe the GOP should demand that Congress censure the Democrat mayors of cities where blacks are being gunned down in such huge numbers.

Trump said absolutely NOTHING wrong. If they don’t like it, that’s their problem - bunch of group-think, racist, anti-America morons.
If 60,000,000 people don’t start calling Congress, holding rallies in support of Trump, they WILL have him.
And of course, they’ll be labeled racists like the Tea Party.
Another thing, the guests on the talking shows should tell their co-panelists and the moderater they’re getting the crap knocked out them if they call them a racist.
GOP goes along with this and they will never, ever see another dime from me.
Whether I ever vote for another GOP is a separate issue, depending on the specific circumstances, but any distinction I make between the criminal dems and the useless, lying GOP goes out the window.
Censure the president for what?
