Sen. John McCain was one of three Republicans who helped shoot down the "skinny" repeal of Obamacare early Friday morning, and two retired D.C. politicians reportedly helped talk him into the "no" vote.
Former Vice President Joe Biden and former Sen. Joe Lieberman, I-Conn., both pressed McCain to oppose Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's efforts to advance a plan that ultimately aimed to repeal and replace portions of Obamacare, according to a Washington Post report.....

I dont know. maybe fake news about Lieberman.
I don’t think the old codger needed any persuading or coaxing, on this. I think he was 100% okay doing this, all on his (evil) own.
As IF McQueeg was EVER going to vote FOR anything at all, that President trump wants.
LIEberman is a rotting POS!
I say let obamacare crash and let the dems and dirtbag republicans that voted against repeal own it. Trump should be demanding they fix the train wreck. Put the pressure on the demos.
Make enough American people hurt from it and it could really bite the dems in the azz.
I doubt that Juan McCON needed much urging from Uncle Joe or Lieberman to get a chance to screw over the president. McCON will do the same damn thing on any tax cut proposal if it means denying the president a legislative victory. Juan is nothing more than a bought off globalist shill and closet Democrat!
As Rush said today, the very last vote (at least for the GOP) was saved for the "maverick Juan McLame" going out by giving Pres. Trump a big middle finger!
What McLame seemed not to care about, was he also gave the American people and especially his constituents to whom he lied in 2016 to win reelection, the big middle finger!
Enjoy your retirement, Juan, the only people who will miss you are your fellow liberals!
Preying on an old, sick man to save Obama’s rancid legacy sounds like something Democrats would do. He is too weak to serve, AZ.
Remember when Obama signed the bill, and Biden said to him, “This is a big, fncking deal!”
So great.

I’m glad the skinny failed. Pubs always want to be 98% as bad as dems and call it a victory.
Would you put your name on bad legislation like that? Trump Care 2% better than Obama Care.
I don’t know why or how McCain sporadically does or says something right. I will probably never know.
I think Harry Browne the old Libertarian candidate used to say. Republicans say vote for us and we’ll take the country to hell six months slower than the Democrats.
I couldn’t find the quote but that is how I remember it.
McCain said he doesn’t believe in passing major legislation along party lines, so he voted to preserve a massive program voted in on party lines.
Precisely. There's nothing like putting a personal grudge ahead of doing what's right for one's country.
And this guy is a U.S. Senator?!
John McCain: what a petty, evil little man...
And he ALWAYS has been an extremely petty, evil LITTLE man, out for himself and to Hell with EVERYONE else.
Nonsense. This would have been an improvement, and merely an incremental step in a long process of unraveling Obamacare.
For now Obamacare stays in place, and working class Americans have no relief. In no way, shape or form will that outcome ever resemble anything right.
If this is a measure that staunch conservative Senators like Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, and Mike Lee could support, then I'll defer to their logic and judgement—and groups like the House freedom Caucus—as opposed to your knee-jerk opposition, which makes the perfect the enemy of the good, and prolongs the misery of every working American and American business.
Republicans say vote for us and well take the country to hell six months slower than the Democrats.
And, ironically, you—along with Senator McCain—side with the Democrats in this instance, leaving every letter of Obamacare in place.
That was the right thing to do? The conservative thing to do?
Congratulations. Well done. You can put the crack pipe down now...
Why didn’t the Turtle know about it before the vote. Didn’t he poll the Republicans before the vote count ? McConnell looks like the incompetent boob that he is.
McCain would rather poke Trump in the eye than help MILLIONS of PEOPLE!!! He is a small minded little man.
The mere fact that RINO McLame has a score to settle to settle with DJT over Trumps hero comment leads me to believe he needed no encouragement from anyone to resist any Trump policy . McLames personal feelings has allowed him to stick it to the American people as a “get even” blow to DJT . Arizona it’s self is really hurting as the ACA has doubled in cost and folks are paying very high deductibles in order to afford the mandatory costs .
He seems to be ignoring the female "'pub" Senators who are off the rails. Depending on McCain, with his seething hatreds, was not wise. Are they surprised McCain's hatreds overcame his loyalty to his Republican colleagues who give him so much support?
The question should be why not do something about Murkowski and Collins? Is he afraid they'll switch over to the Democratic Party? McCain will only answer to his ultimate owner whom he sold old to, and not in this earthly life. But those two? Get them in line!
