The media can do a lot of damage by writing stories about an e-mail chain or other document that hasn't been seen by the public -- because they can slant the story or even make up bullsh!t about it however they please. Releasing the e-mail chain takes that option away from the media -- which is why this hilarious Twitter string showed up today:
