Minority leader Nancy Pelosi thinks the Democratic Party is doing just fine despite her fellow Democrats thinking it's time for her to get the ax.
The California Democrat told reporters at LOGO's Trailblazer award ceremony on Thursday night that she doesn't believe the party is in need of any radical change while half of the party remained angry and divided for throwing millions towards a Georgia House race that was met with a tragic loss.
"We have the arena now, people are ready to listen and we'll have our message about the economy, but we will not walk away from our responsibilities, Pelosi told reporters.
Just hours prior, New York Democratic Rep. Kathleen Rice told CNN that the party was in need of a change.
"It's time for Nancy Pelosi to go, and the entire leadership team," Rice said.
The 77-year-old, who was awarding Cyndi Lauper the honor for championing LGBTQ issues throughout her career, addressed her concerns about LGBTQ issues under the Trump administration.
"Well we have to be optimistic, and we have to keep on fighting," she said.
The longtime politician's sentiments came just before Trump spoke of her in an interview with "Fox & Friends" which aired on Friday.
The president slammed Pelosi's record after the Democratic special election losses, explaining that it would be a "very, very sad day for Republicans' if Nancy Pelosi steps down."
But that didn't stop her from preaching her message of hope just shortly after she defended her abilities as a "master legislator" following the Georgia loss.
"I'm hopeful because of all of the work and activism that happened during the HIV AIDS struggle, that really led to great achievements it led to marriage equality and the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell as well as the Hate Crimes Act so now we have an equality act but now we want to open up the Civil Rights Act and inject LGBTQ in there and that would be a great advance."
Although the party's hit some tough losses, Pelosi is standing behind her positive spirit.
"I think we made great progress. You have to look at the upside," she said. "This is not a glass that's nearly empty but nearly full and we're ready to win the Congress in the next election but in the mean time we don't want those in power to do harm to anyone in our country and certainly not the LGBT community."
The mother-of-five walked the carpet with two of her adorable grandsons, Paul and Thomas.
Sorry Nancy, the only “arena” you ‘RATS have is the porcelain “arenas” in rest rooms.
She’s making it too easy.
Arena? Padded cell, more like it.
Hard to believe the dems want her saying anything in public - she’s basically incoherent.
The livestock arena at the fairgrounds comes to mind.
The Democrats are going to escort her out of the arena and put her out to pasture.
It’s like top 40 radio, they don’t care if you don’t like it. They will sell the message through heavy rotation.
And with the DNC-MSM collusion (both paid messaging in movies and tv shows and water carrying by fellow travelers) and academic bias, they can beat that drum from sun up until sun down and beyond.
It’s time for Pelosi to be replaced with Maxine Waters. That’d be a sure win for the Democrats. C’mon Dems! Maxine! Maxine! LOL
Like with all Democrats, it’s about her, not the people she’s supposed to serve.
FAKE face of FAKE political party propped up by FAKE news.

Please Keep her Democrats. Please Please Please!
She's been saying that since 2011.
I wish they all had to fight in an arena. Tell them the last one out could live. But not really.
Nancy yea you are in arena and the lions and tigers are ripping you to pieces.
