Hillary Clinton To Next Female Presidential Candidate: Prepare to Be ‘Brutalized’

“Our system in our country is the most difficult political environment in the world of any democracy to elect a leader.”

Former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is hopeful that a woman from any background can run for the United States presidency in the near future. But that candidate needs to fully understand what she’s up against.

“You have to be prepared for what it means to literally be brutalized,” the former secretary of state said Thursday at BookExpo America in New York City, the publishing industry’s annual gathering. “It is unlike any experience she has ever had before. Our system in our country is the most difficult political environment in the world of any democracy to elect a leader.”

This woman might come from a background in politics, Clinton added, or could perhaps be a writer or a business executive.

She’s up for offering experience and advice but said she believes the future candidate needs to “find his or her own way.”(continued)

Just who brutalized her? She was given softball questions, talked about Chai tea with sycophants, and if that wasn’t enough, was given debate questions in advance.

If the next female presidential nominee is a Republican she undoubtedly will be brutalized in the Media. See Sarah Palin.

> carrying the burden of the double standard

I’d bet that the next women to run WITHOUT trying to carry that burden will win. Women like Hillary see a weakness with themselves, and lack self-confidence, because they perceive a double standard everywhere. So they let it warp every other message. And they focus too much on an inequality problem most voters don’t see. They look weak on real problems because they make “being a woman” part of every issue. Repeatedly pointing out that “many people don’t think a woman can do the job” gets people wondering if this woman can do the job.

There will be plenty of men (and women) who won’t vote for that woman, and judge her different than the opposition (the double standard does exist). But she will win an even greater number of voters who pick a self-confident woman with real solutions in order to make history. She’ll win because she will focus on problems everyone sees and solutions she believes in rather than imaging gender problems in every issue and having solutions that don’t seem to fit the problem.

At least that’s how I see it from 30+ years of business experience. The women who see a double standard are hurt by it (or by their actions based on it). The women who compete as equals get treated as equals. The women who blame men when they miss a job/promotion, don’t often get the next one. The women who ask how they can improve their resume for the next promotion usually do it (improve their resume) better than men. There may be a double standard and I don’t see women having to do more than men - but the women who ignore it and focus on their abilities are the ones who succeed. I’d bet politics is the same.

Prepare to Be ‘Brutalized’

Have they even considered the contrast with how a man like President Donald Trump was treated?

Yeah, I have only two words for any of them: SARAH PALIN.

+10 Prefect Lady.

The irony and hypocrisy is totally lost on them.

Let me put this Hillary speak through the Freudian babel fish translator. Advice to the next contender to Hillary in a primary, expect to have the nomination stolen.
