Hillary Clinton blasted the Democratic National Committee on Wednesday, saying that she "inherited nothing" from the party after winning its presidential nomination last year.
"So Im now the nominee of the Democratic Party. I inherit nothing from the Democratic Party," she said during a question and answer session at Code Conference in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.
"I mean, it was bankrupt. It was on the verge of insolvency. Its data was mediocre to poor, nonexistent, wrong," she recalled. "I had to inject money into it."
By contrast, she said, then-GOP candidate Donald Trump inherited a well-funded and extensively tested data operation that laid the foundation for his ultimately successful campaign to effectively weaponize data and internet content against Clinton.
"So Trump becomes the nominee and he is basically handed this tried and true, effective foundation," Clinton said.
Clinton also suggested that Russian efforts to meddle in the 2016 election in favor of Trump were "guided by Americans" and other political operatives and strategists.
"The Russians in my opinion, and based on the intel and counterintel people I've talked to, could not have known how best to weaponize that information unless they had been guided," she said. "Guided by Americans and guided by people who had polling and data information."
The U.S. intelligence community concluded in a report made public in January that the Kremlin had sought to influence the election in Trump's favor by running a massive hacking and influence campaign.
Yep. Hillary’s 2020 campaign slogan will be “Out, damned spot! Out, I say!”
Hillary has that Captain Queeg impersonation down pat.
I'd give Trump a LOT more credit, though.
Hillary outspent him IIRC about 2 to 1.
Trump was out there, every single day, talking to actual people by the tens of thousands.
Hillary would pop in to her rich friend's homes, and collect millions, rarely if ever speaking to the little people.
Even then she couldn't fill a high school gymnasium.
In contrast to Hillary and the DNC, Trump got very little *real* support from the RNC.
The "republicans" hated his guts, and sadly STILL do virtually nothing but impede him every chance they can. Trump had everything stacked against him (except for average Americans) and won.
Trump campaigned unlike anyone else I have ever seen.
Meanwhile Hillary hardly campaigned at all.
She thought she was owed the Presidency.
It has been run for years by her OWN HAND PICKED LIEUTENANTS.
And they guy they took over from? That would be the SAME GUY SHE PICKED FOR VP
"I had to inject money into it."
The DNC is dead broke because their big money donors have been siphoned into the Obama and Clinton personal networks (through OFA and CF respectively). The DNC is broke because Clinton and Obama looted it thoroughly for a decade.
She should sedate herself with booze and as many sleeping pills as she can shove down her throat.
The party could follow him but he wasn't going to rely on it.
Those are the rules Hillary was playing under: candidates make their own fate, and sometimes the party just has to stay out of their way.
She knew that when she ran, and if it were all about money she certainly had enough, but she couldn't make it happen so now she's complaining.
Trump had Cambridge Analytics. There is no other company like that, to my knowledge, so Hillary was SOL.
A NOTHINGBURGER!!
YET DEVASTATING TO MY ELECTION!

YET DEVASTATING TO MY ELECTION!
Another Freeper above already suggested an obvious strategy in the making.
When... not if, but when she is finally accused, indicted and tried, she will have a bulletproof insanity defense.
But nevertheless there should be some jail time attached to her sentence, pour encourager les autres...
