Georgia Rep. John Lewis will join protesters outside of the National Rifle Association's convention in Atlanta on Saturday.
Several hundred gun control advocates are expected to gather ahead of President Trump's speech to the annual convention, according to an Atlanta Journal-Constitution report.
In January, Trump criticized Lewis on Twitter, saying the civil rights icon is "All talk, talk, talk no action or results."
Lewis did not attend the inauguration and said he did not see Trump as a "legitimate president."
More than 80,000 people are expected at the NRA convention. Several hundred people have also RSVP'ed to protests organized by groups like Everytown for Gun Safety.
Trump is the first sitting president since Ronald Reagan to attend the convention.
They’re protesting Trump on Saturday?
Trump is speaking tomorrow (Friday), he’ll be long gone by Saturday mid-day.....
Can’t fix stupid....
Someone should remind Lewis that he abd his supporters are a prime example of why we have the 2A and the NRA.
You have seriously insulted all of the morons in America.
John Lewis, once a thug always a thug. Now he is going to practice his thuggery at the NRA convention.
No, that was Hank Johnson, another room temperature IQ black Democrat rep from GA. I'd say I was embarrassed for ga, but racist liberal filth like Lewis is why I call it "occupied ga"
Unless Lewis invests in a digital disgronificator, no one (but the winos) will be able to make head ‘ner tails of what he says.
The old fool will be firing blanks anyway..
He’s like the Mike Eruzione of politics, basing a whole career on involvement in a minor event. He’s also a potato head.
Maybe he can’t attend because the NRA can’t guarantee his safety, just like Coulter at Berkley. Ah, who am I kidding?
Isn’t it time for this old retarded bastard to croak? His 60s shtick is getting old.
I’m doing a one-man march through Atlanta to the NRA convention with a MAGA hat, an American flag, and a sign advocating free speech... I will purposefully be walking by John Lewis’ mural on Auburn Ave in protest.
