FOX News Sunday host Chris Wallace tells Democratic Senator Chris Coons that continued talk of collusion between Trump and Russia has a whiff of McCarthyism. He asked if the point of this continued talk, that has gone on for months, is an attempt to derail Trump's agenda.
Coons would concede to Wallace that he has "no hard evidence of collusion."
CHRIS WALLACE, FOX NEWS SUNDAY: Why would you suggest in that clip that I just played for Senator Cotton that there are FBI transcripts that show, and I want to get your words, "provide very critical insights" in the collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians?
SEN. CHRIS COONS (D-DE): What I was trying to make clear, Chris, and I appreciate a chance to restate this, is that I don't have, and I don't know of, any conclusive proof one way or the other about whether there was collusion between senior levels of the Trump campaign and Russian officials. But I believe that our intelligence community, which is the most sophisticated in the world, has intercepts, has raw intelligence, and it's important that the Senate Intelligence Committee, which is conducting an investigation be given access to those intercepts, to transcripts of those intercepts, so that they can get to the bottom of this.
The American people, Chris, want us to move forward. They want us to work together in Washington and it's important for us to remember that the Russians are our adversaries. Republicans and Democrats, we have different political agendas, different political views, but we can and should work together to make sure that what intelligence there is, is gotten access to by the intelligence committee....

coons was being a massive weasel in that interview, even for him.
he didn’t have evidence that proof of collusion even existed, but if there is evidence, he believes that the intelligence community would have it due to their intercepts. makes you wonder where the evidence came from . . .

Right now it looks as though the entire “Russia Trump” allegation was merely a pretense intended to get access to Trump’s confidential campaign information.
That's it. That's what they're using as "evidence." There's nothing more than that, and that's all they've ever had.
The reason they're so reluctant to say "what the evidence really is" is because it's so silly and embarrassing.
There is no evidence and the Dems know it! The Republicans should start calling everyone of these guys out to put up or shut up. If there was a shred of evidence Obama would have exposed it before Trump took office..
Coons has now proven himself to be a liar.
He says there is not proof but then later he says there’s proof of collusion with the Russians. The man is a liar and an idiot.
Liberals should recuse themselves in this as they have a lot covering up through this. Why hasnt Comey recused himself?

Liberals don't recuse themselves, because they believe integrity is an illusion, a concept for perpetuating a white male phallocentric colonialist paradigm for an oppressive society.
Liberals don't resign, because they can do more damage by staying inside organizations and undermining them from the inside.
It’s troubling trying to contemplate just how low they really are. Parasites should be a sub-category of liberals.
They believe that American capitalist freedom culture is the greatest evil ever visited on the face of the earth. They believe that, as a result, no action, no lie, no betrayal is off limits or immoral. They have convinced themselves that the vast "crime" of western civilization and particularly America is so evil, so grotesque, so corrosive and pernicious and inhuman, that absolutely anything that the imagination can conceive is justified in the struggle to gain enough power to defeat it.
This is their reasoning. Many of them are very damaged, unhappy, frustrated, alienated souls who feel that the world hates them, and therefore they have the right to hate the world. They displace their hatred of themselves on to the whole world, on to society at large.
In many cases they believe that the best way they can redeem themselves and imbue their lives with some meaning is to fight relentlessly against that which society calls "normality," even to the point of destroying themselves.
So the drive behind these false charges is to get into Trumps taxes. That is really the meat in the story.
