This is what Newt is best at. I would add that this happened because Donald Trump conducted a hostile takeover of the old Republican Party, hired away it's CEO, and put the former owners (e.g. the Bush family) out to pasture.

2 weeks ago EVERYONE agreed that the GOP was going to rip itself to shreds no matter if Trump won or lost.

Believe me .. the DemocRATS know exactly what this election means for them. And, they also realize that their leader in Congress, Pelosi, is part of their problem. I can’t figure out if they’re going to be willing to dump her or not. I hope they don’t have Hillary-fixitus .. like they are never willing to get rid of Pelosi .. just like they cannot rid themselves of Hillary.
You don’t understand who the GOP is now.

Not only was I surprised that trump would win, but I expected that even if he did win, the splits in the party would have hurt Senators Rubio, Portman and other down ticket races
